The pressure is much on Osimhen
Why play a lone striker when we have so many attacko option
Sometimes I wonder if you fans know the colour of your problem.

He's playing at a lowly rated chaves that even Enyimba will beat, and more so he's collecting peanut as salary. So - he's not good enough grin
is he one of the best midfielders in the portuguese top flight?

What has he done this season to merit a call up to the national team?

If he is good as you hv been brainwashed to believe ( cus I knw the last time u saw him play was at the last afcon 🤣) what is he still doing in the worst team in the league

It’s a matter of finding the right balance. How will the Aribo-Iwobi pair fair against big teams? This is a matter of familiarity, not necessarily top-notch chemistry.

zicky:
true talk. I notice the midfielders played better when Aribo came in.

To be honest we need a central midfielder with the profile of Nwakali, yusuf and onyeka share similar characteristics hustle players, but little use with the ball
They will tell you, you put Nwakali name and some other players so that they wont notice grin

iwobi came to life when Aribo was subbed in. I think both understand their selves better

I believe with more games together Iwobi will adapt to playing with Al Hass
I really enjoyed Iwobi and Alhassan Yusuf's partnership. I hope to see more of it.

Pls how many passes did those semi pro from malabo make in our half before they scored?? And who held the team together today? The rejected stone from Antwerp it was. Our top 5 league members couldn't clear a simple ball, rather gifted it back to the opponent. And for your info, Nwakali makes team of the week. And he is up there among the MF in Liga Portugal. I guess Ndidis injury has made everyone to see how good Yusuf is. Dem he should be in the top 5 league if he was that good don hide.

We Nigerians are funny people sha. We have people shouting against Kelechi’s inclusion but:

1. won’t offer an alternative ball playing midfielder
2. don’t realize that our MF is thin already
3. forget that we have up to 27 that could have been called upon. Kelechi could have just been there in case of incasity.

Bringing him to the team isn’t a net negative. At worst, he doesn’t play at best, he does well.

There’s only upside in calling him up.

Idk about bang average. A bang average striker does not win Golden boot in Serie A. Just doesn’t happen.

I’m 100% with you on the offside thing, however. I think he needs better coaching to coach the habit out of him.

Yekini sef miss too now. He lost several chances against CIV in 94 and lost an important chance to draw us level with Italy at US94 too. That said, Baba Yekinj remains a legend and up till date our greatest striker for the SE yet.
That was deep into the tournament.

Playing against civ with their huge home crowd will be another pressure for these guys, I hope they can cope. The goal of the next match should be not to loose. The Ivorians are very physical and it portends more injuries for our players.

If they don’t loose the next match there might be some hope

All strikers miss chances. Even the most clinical ones. It’s what happens after he misses the chance that is more important.
