We're all here praising Al-hassan, nobody is talking about the delayed pass he failed to give Iwobi to sloth on time before the EQG play took the ball off his feet in the 18yrd box.
He caused us one or two chances; the first he played a direct ball to the keeper, the 2nd he refused to release the ball on time to Iwobi. He should be smarter cos the game against CIV will be decided in the midfield against who has the best defense and the best keeper. Expect lots of shots at goal and build up from the middle.
After Iheancho, Iwobi is the next clinical player in the SE. He should be played up front close to the attackers not as a deep lying midfielder( that job should be left for onyeka)
Iwobi never loses such opportunities in the final third. Remember the AFCON game 2019 with Cameroun and his connection with Ighalo that earned us a spectacular goal.
Alhassan overall performance was solid for a cap player, against Ivory Coast,Osimhen should just do the needful cuz he needs to convert those chances.

Watching Nwabili yesterday almost made me swear for whoever made us put up with Uzoho for years.

Sey na composure, confident handling, dangerous long balls or anticipation? His shot stopping I'm sure will be above average. Could be maning the sticks for a while if he stays consistent.

I won't be too excited about Nwabili.. he was composed and confident yesterday, yes, but he was barely tested...we can't say for sure how good he is until he faces some real threat..CIV will definitely provide that

Very true, plus I felt he should have made an attempt or a reaction to the goal conceded, am not saying he should have saved it o or could have, bet wetin I sabi.

@Chriskels, should Pape Meta Sarr be on the bench for Senegal? Shouldn't he be starting? I think the boy is really good.

Peseiro should just start Osayi on the right and Aina on the left or Start Aina on the right and Bruno on the left,Sanusi yes a Porto player but lacks the modern day left back style, too rigid....pls is there any difference between Chukwueze and Simon.
No difference, let's give the latter a chance to show whether he has improved.

You're right but it's clear that he's an upgrade to Uzoho.

Wouldn't blame him too much for the goal he was a bit unsighted hence his slow reaction.

Winning or getting a draw out of the CIV match will obviously require a disciplined tactical approach so personnel to prosecute the game will be different. Interesting to see what JP comes up with.

Uzoho didn't even have to be tested to parry balls into his own net. Let's call a spade a spade, Uzoho is not a national team material and Nwabili doesn't have to do anything extra ordinary to better than him.
I say this with my chest, Uzoho can't bench any keeper in the NPFL if he played in Naija.

i dont wanna blame Nwabili for that goal, but omo meehn me i was the only one arguing that he should have made a reflexive dive….i guess he already gave up on the dive, thats why he stood and allow the ball roll in..some other “high-hyper flexible keeper” go still wan make a last decision dive…but all in all i was calmer watching him keep than having Uzoho in goal

Didier Drogba Dreamt That Nigeria Will Win The 2013 AFCON “ Former super eagles striker Brown Ideye declared

"Before the quarter-final game, he came to our dressing room to shake everyone and said may the best team win and he hopes his country wins.

"After the game, he came back to the dressing room and congratulated us and he told us, he dreamt about us winning the AFCON even before the game and he wished us well."

Like Yusuf like Ayinde.
What if Yusuf is ruled out for the next game. Will Onyedika be deployed as DM and Onyeka moved to B2B?? That will be another option. Am not sold out with Aribo in that position.

Osimhen should’ve been highest goal scorer already with 2 goals up
He missed a one on one sitter
I believe the harsh 2pm sun affected the foreign players
That heat is crazy
If regular people play 90 minutes football at 2pm in Africa most will wake up with fever the next day
I can’t remember when last super eagles play by 2 pm or 3 pm in Africa
We can forgive them, but the next game should be nothing less than a draw
Ivory Coast will punish them if they refuse to take their chances.
Playing with home team is no joke
Stadium could be filled to capacity 60k

I NEVER rated him as a player. All his game in SE is nothing to write home about.
All his useless passes, His predictable dribbling with no head way, His shots that usually bounce off players, His wide angle kicks that goes off target? Name them! That guy is useless as P in pussy.
If players like Noni Madueke or Carney Chukwuemeka were available all these retrogressive play would shove his ass to the bench.
No vex boss, the P in Pussy is not actually useless 😂 it's one of the "Ss"that's useless 😏

Sanusi was definitely not bad yesterday. Missing those chances can't take away from the fact that he got into dangerous positions. If he keeps playing like he did yesterday we will be a very dangerous side.

3. Delayed substitution
