Bakassi was raised on account of mafs. There was no kidnapping angle at all. During kidnapping with osisikankwu as kingpin, it was NA that handled it.

I am gonna state this again for posterity sake. The only time Nigeria had the opportunity to tackle these menaces head on was just the last election, they only needed to usher in a new government not because other candidates are better than APC candidate, NO but anyone with sound crime-investigative experience knows that change of political structure will push back criminals to hold a bit and watch how the security architecture will pan out before exploiting the loopholes and that is the best time to fight institutionalized crime head on: The problem here is the bandits, kidnappers and militia herdsmen have found out the political landscape is the same and as well it is business as usual so they are settled with the system and also knows all the noise is barking of an "ekuke" dog. If you think the current police system can do anything different then I have a bridge for sale. If the cries gets too much they will "show force" which will arrest few "foot soldiers" who will get back after non-conviction and serving of prison terms and the status quo will be maintained.

The only way for these crimes to stop is for the head of one or all the syndicates to be taken down and use to set example that will show seriousness and that alone will make other perpetrators to take their foot off the gas anything apart from this is window dressing, while many citizens will just make noise until it gets to someone else's turn. A whole village were turned to burial ground on Christmas day the noise has died down, families have now been kidnapped with guts to release the head to go and look for money that's massive prodding on the security and now some of the families are been killed to "teach lessons" for not bringing money. can it get any lower?

For how long will people continue typing RIP and urging security forces to do their job. I mean how more do people need to cry for the same thing? Nobody cares again. Everyone should think if the dead people are someone close to them it is only someone that has never lost a loved one that will not understand the pains the family will live with to always remember the ugly way one of their member gave up the ghost. I don't think anything will be more gruelling.

I really don't know what else to say for people to understand the gravity of what is ahead if these menaces are not purge away.

Kidnapping did not start in the south East.
Kidnapping started in the Niger Delta, when militants started abducting foreign oil workers to call attention to the neglect, marginalization and environmental degradation that oil exploration was causing to the region.
Secondly Bakassi boys was formed against criminal elements who were robbing and harassing innocent citizens including those coming in to do business in Aba and Onitsha.

There were videos upon videos of these terrorists and their trucks being searched and assault rifles amongst variety of illegal weapons were found. Do you know what the youth were doing during that period? I'll tell you: they were watching BBNaija. They were argunig Tacha vs nengi vs Mercy, vs Cee-C. No protests, no nothing.

Take china for instance it is predominantly made up of the Han tribe(about 80% of 1.4 billion population) and other minorities like the Ughurus who are predominantly Muslim. If the Ughurus were close in population with the Han Chinese. China would have split a long time ago
