Senegal and Ivory Coast show the importance of having midfielders that can score.

our midfield was immediately stabilized when Joseph Aribo came in. He brought calm and composure which did not allow the otherside penetrate from the midfield like they were doing, and which is also how they scored the first goal. Yes, Yusuf was full of running, but Joseph gave us back the control over the midfield, which also brought out the best in Iwobi.
When opponents have ran out of steam

1. The EQG team had a game plan to seat back, soak the pressure and hit Nigeria on the counter

And there defense was cagged so Nigeria can't penetrate.

2. In such a game, a direct play will never work as they will always over power you or frustrate you.

But Nigeria was playing a direct ball making Osimhen the sole focus of our play. Every one was trying to pass to him. Of course the EQG will ensure they're all on him and stop his flow

3. What the coach should have done is to split thier defense by using more of the wings to drew them out.
And Moses Simon and Chukweze would have done that well.
But he kept Chukweze on the bench and Moses Simon was moved to the right-wing role instead of his more familiar left-wing position, this disrupted the team's attacking dynamics.

And also use more strike option with at least two strikers. Would have been ok

4. He left it too late before bringing in wingers Chukweze..
And the striker at barely 3 minutes to go

Jose Peseiro is still a learner
So what is the difference between Moses Simon and Chukwueze? Nothing!
The little time Chuks was on yesterday, he did nothing.

African teams are poorly coached mehn. No tactics...just rely on individual brilliance and luck.

Reminds me of Ghana 2008 team. What a team that was!!

I see Kelechi Iheanacho as the messiah in this tournament.

I can't wait for him to be fully fit.

Look let's forget all this essay. The game simply didn't go in our way or favour. We could have played rubbish and still won if the game was to go in our way, but we played well and drew. And that brings me to the idea of wuruwuru to the answer. We should be able to have plan B's such as that. It is what has helped ghana win 4 trophies and Cameron 5 trophies. The grit, the wuruwuru style, to win. It's not gonna be beautiful but it will be efficient.

The English will knock your head for saying this crap!
Do you even know the meaning of coaching?
Rohr got us to qualify on record point from a group than include Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia! Got us to AFCON semi final! Why did you guys call for his sack?

Yea.
The showboating and dribblings we are known for are gradually going into extinct. Everything is depreciating both on and off the field. We can barely fill the stadium now. It is just so sad.

The first goal was on iwobi and two defenders who couldn't react fast enough to clear the ball after a d opponents lost it
Iwobi is ready follow an opponent player from their 18yard toward the other side without initiating any tackle. He will be running with the player full strength grin grin till they enter our 18yard box and score against us. That's is one of his weaknesses.

I once said it here that I don't trust naija medical teams when it comes to player assessment. Now Sadiq has started personal training. If he was not fit for the first match, we will know he is not fit... The matter just tire person.

The best player on the continent presently will redeem himself against CIV on Thursday!

People saying he's average and overrated are funny hence I don't take them serious.

Chukweze is not a player you depend on when playing for S.E. Very wasteful player only for national team
