EQG that we split their defense into nice bits na im you dey say we should not have used direct approach. When the opposition goalkeeper wins man of the match that should tell you something. JPes tactics was spot on. That game was defined by bad luck and awful misses

JP is really I bad luck...
If it were Genot Rohr we will play not too good but will surely come out with the needed results.... Winning

ESPN analysts rated our performance as one of the best in the group stage!

They were surprised at how much chances we were able to create against supposedly one of the so-called best defensive team in Africa.

Moreover, they were more surprised at the number of chances Osimhen missed!

Well, going by the picture, I'm guessing there was a confrontation between Chukwueze and one/some of the players during the meeting.

Chukwueze probably got angry, left the meeting, then Ekong ran after him to calm him down grin

E good like that😂

Make e step up. Afcon na more than getting Shirt. Make he leave legacy like Dem Uche brothers

Who go enter this list laidis?

We don't even carry u22 boys to afcon again.

A forward with 3-4goals per Afcon, aged 24 at 1st Afcon and 30 or 32 at final afcon(5th appearance) should be able to chance Eto'o.

Typical of AFCON first games: More draws than wins.
From the second games I Fancy the teams with the better abilities to start turning out results

I still have faith he'll get 5 at least in this current one. Maybe he's better with heading than with feet. Cross and nod go weary that civ defense.

Na only Senegal survive o, may be the red card against Gambia in the first half was an advantage though.

That hot condition we played under no good. I wonder whose idea it was to set kickoff that unbearable time for an opener. Coach wey dey bench just dey empty cold bottles on his head

No doubt, overall, the team played well and created lots of scoring chances but could not finish them up.

CIV will have it tough against this Nigerian side

Ivory coast will play with immense pressure as per host team. But this Nigeria team with their not so concerned slow start to a game will become an advantage, and cote'de voire will make an early mistake that will cost them. I see the host chasing most part of the game. Final score Nig 2-1 Cote'de

CIV will have it tough against this Nigerian side

The way JPes sets up his teams, we will struggle against teams that sit back and play on the counter, but play better against teams that come at us.

CIV will come out to attack us, that will give us plenty opportunities to create chances
We only hope and pray our guys finish their chances, because we will create loads of them

I see a draw or win for us against CIV

If you noticed, our play improved after the EQG goal against the run of play..
After they scored us, I expected them to go back to their defensive setup, for some reason they didn't
I guess our immediate equalizer destabilized them and they abandoned their game plan
They suddenly opened up and tried coming at us, maybe believing they could get a second goal
That was when we started seeing defence splitting passes left and right because of the gaps they left open

If only we were clinical, we would have finished that game with 4 or 5 goals

CIV would probably rush us and try to get an early goal
Our guys need to maintain full concentration
I expect someone like Iwobi,Aribo and maybe Senior man to shine in that game
Like breaking passes, over the head passes that will put our strikers one on one with their keeper, over and over again

If we absorb the pressure well and not lose concentration, we should get a result in that game

We should just try to score first
Though it seems we play better after conceding first
