My boys started from 1 year and 2 months soon as they started talking I enrolled them, seeing other kids in school made their speech clearer and audible.

This is the comment I was looking for all through and surprised it came after 3 pages.

Most parents enrol their young kids early to build their vocabulary.
And it's 100% effective!... They almost immediately start speaking clearly.

I am telling you what is obtainable because it's my field and I've have never seen any school with kg3. I can tell you this for free because I visit so many different schools.

6 years - primary 1
12 yrs- jss1
18 yrs- univerity

But in Nigeria, people already want to dump their children in creche from the age of 6 months

From what I have seen, 3 & above is the best age to start. It's neither too early nor late.


U can perhaps do 2.5, but Anything less than that is just shrinking ur responsibility as a parent

Some nursery sch will said they follow British standard, but a child can only start in abroad from 4yrs.
I will advise you should have reason (Working class parent) to put ur child in sch at earlier age like 2,3yrs. Otherwise, please home school your child till they are 4yrs.

Yes of course. But it is advisable you start home schooling the child ahead so that he/she can catch up with his/her peers in primary. However, it is better to begin in Nursery so that the child will already be familiar with his/her numbers and alphabets, it makes it easier for the child when he/she gets to primary.

there's no rush. Better to allow the child to be mentally developed and equipped to handle school than to rush them in at 2.

When he's mentally stable enough.. it's not by age. In Finland, schooling starts at 7 years. They have the best educational system. Education is not stressing children, giving them overlaod work and pressuring them. I will never do that to my chidlren. These days we want to force children to grow into fast adults. I don't know all the need to rush. Success in life is not about how early u finish school, u might finish early and still don't have sense. Because your brain has been over pressured.

Once a child is mentally strong to attend school, that is when he should start

It's so,does she have psychological intelligence, yes she might be leading her class and be the best in her studies but does she have other types of intelligence that will help her psychology, social interactions,emotions etc...and every other ways to live life right

Well its because the government and the economy of Nigeria is poorly ruined and a graduate above 26 years can't get a job that's why you see it as fine

Exactly one of the point you should allow your child enrol in school early if they are so intelligent..

Because the present Nigeria might frustrate them in terms of job

This is exactly the case with my son too but he is 4yrs now and in KG3. He also started early due to nature of our job and it really helps his intelligence, he is topping his class too.

In America 🇺🇸 Canada 🇨🇦 is 5&6 Years. But daycare will humble you, so expensive.God will help us we all Parents and Prospective Parents.

Yes, I disagreed with my wife about it at first, but when I saw the result on his IQ, I was very happy.

I thought my kids like a teacher until 5yrs then he enters primary one, and he's above everyone else, even the teachers said he can pass primary 4 exams. now he's in primary 2 at 6yrs. Please teach them at home first before school.
