I went to the estate where the explosion occurred in Ibadan Oyo state and it seemed like a tourist center as the whole of Ibadan came there to see what was happening. As some people were leaving, more people were coming.

I and many others tried to go into the compound where the explosion happened but the area was cordoned off by security agencies.

However, i managed to see the destruction within the estate as cars and houses in the area were affected.

There’s more to what happened in Ibadan than the actual claim by the governor, Dynamite can’t blow up an area like this with such rubbles I am seeing this look like Gaza and this maybe terrorist attack on this area, since how many days this incident happened have you seen anyone being arrested for the crime? They claim is foreigners that are mining illegally so the foreigners pass through land borders and flee? bleeped up country some of us don’t actually know what we are against in this country Terrorist is advancing by the day until Nigeria will become another Haiti 🇭🇹 we won’t learn anything

Every states In Nigeria are flooded with bandits Abuja is not left out of the insecurity as they are now even invading Army barracks and Estate to kidnap people make una Dey play oo

Stop whitewashing Fulani bandits.
You are the one blaming Fulani.
Neither the victims, their neighbors or the state government mention anything like Fulani.
If you think posting deflectional stories on non-bandit crimes will make people starts loving Fulani
kidnapping gang, then you have just taking up an impossible job.

Even the major victims who are Fulani's do not deny the identity of their tormentors.
Maybe you will also tell us how one random hit and run driver turn out to be not a Fulani man!

One problem I have with fellow Nigerians n y I don’t pity people when shit happens is because we are too intellectually lazy n always looking for who to blame

It has been established beyond reasonable doubt that they are miners who have been staying there since 2013 n they aren’t terrorist or Fulani herdsmen

But some dumbfolks want us to believe they are terrorist by force, by doing tuhis it means the real culprits will also join us in blaming d fulanis so as to cover up their track

Nigerians should b asking questions as regards this event cos it has been established that these people have another dynamite warehouse around orogun in Ibadan

But those dumb folks don’t care about how we will unravel that n avert another tragedy in d making

By this time I expect us to pressurize the governor so he will find that warehouse at orogun n other places they have it

But those fools are just shouting “it’s bomb” “it’s Fulani” n after that we go back home till another one explodes

I am not making a case for Fulani herdsmen but the reality all Nigerians have to accept is that there are criminals in all tribe n if we keep looking for d easiest route out by always shouting fulanis herdsmen, even people around us will commit crime n we will keep shouting fulanis n they will keep doing it cos they already have a way out due to our lack of intelligence
my brother may God bless you abundantly I use to tell those sycophants too but they ha e turn everything to tribalism

It has been some days now since this incident happened with more facts reported yet you are still thinking like this about what really happened....no wonder we are not progressing rapidly as a country most of us don't comprehend fast or don't pay attention to details or so full of hate or prejudices that blocks our rational reasoning....God go help us sha grin

This is what happened as reported so far....

1) A Senegalese lives there and store dynamite or explosives in the house then there was a fire which caused the explosives to explode.

2) The mining site is in oke-ogun area/Ibarapa of oyo state away from Ibadan city.

3) The estate is a residential area and people are mostly indoors at the time the explosion occurred. If you not about 10-100meter near the dynamite itself depending on the quantity of the explosives it doesn't in itself kill but the projectiles that are spread around due to the explosion is what kills and does the damage.

4) You can keep asking the Governor how a registered company whether registered by federal government or local government is a illegal company? Seyi Makinde goofed Big time all still buttress my concern about the "best" of us grin

See, I don't think anything is fishy anywhere.
I schooled briefly in Ibadan when I gained admission at age 17, now I am 50.
Those miners were already doing there things since I was schooling there. So for me it's over 33years that these guys have been doing business.
A child born 33 years ago would have gone to school graduated, started working or start his own buy, would have gotten married with his own children.

So,do you honestly think those miners over the past 33 years or more, wouldn't have grown big in the business?
Don't you think they would have connected well and integrated well into the community, to the point that they would even be seen as indigenes such that their entry and exit into amd out if the community will be so seamless.

This is my take.
There is no fowl play.
The foreigner who happens to be miners have integrated well with the locals.
They have become part of the system.
They know the ins and outs
They know the loop holes of our system.
They know any anything goes here.
They simply exploited this by storing explosives within residential areas instead of the designated places.

My take.
I might be wrong please.

Not really sir, the problem is that miners do keep explosives for blasting which is a very wrong procedure. They don't follow procedures, you are not to stock it at home, once the DSS gives approval and you get it straight to the pit where it's to be used. But today with connections, they store them at home which is very very risky.

Oh thanks for the clarification, but how were they able to move and store such quantity of dynamite in such high brow area bypassing security?

There is nothing fishy, they don't mine there, they live there.
Read the report from the residence and stop judging from your lack of information.
Those who live around there say the miners go out in the morning and return in the evening.
The government is giving report based on information given by the residence.
So if you feel anyone is hiding anything, go and ask the residence

So they should just report that 50 people died when they did not see 50 bodies abi? Same way you wanted people to believe that 1000 people were killed at the Lekki Toll gate when there are not up to 1000 dead bodies. Also, same way you all want us to believe a certain candidate won an election when there's no evidence to back it up. Make una continue de play
