Burkina Faso were my personal team of the first round. I was really impressed with their game play.
It's 1-1 now but I have my money on them to beat Algeria grin

Burkina Faso number 22 Blati Toure is a terrific player.

Tabsona of Leverkusen is a fine baller too. Spraying long balls like Trent.

Seems the blacks are supporting the burkinafaso team than Algeria

Last time it was in Egypt, the arabs supported their brothers..

Now it's time for the blacks too to support their own I guess

This Burkinabe side are giving the 2013 vibes.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the semi's or final.

This match isn't a surprise. Algeria - Burkina Faso always produce a banger of match. I recall their world cup qualifying tie in 2013. One of the best rivalries on the continent.

They are so skillful. Truly a fantastic, my favourites in this tournament. They will beat both Senegal and Morroco.
Abit of a back story, their coach, Hubert Velud was shot in the arm back in 2010 when the Togo team bus was attacked enroute Angola.
He has unfinished business with the Afcon.

Onuachu is not slow
He is Bro...you can't compare him to Moffi when it comes to pace and physique tailored for africa football.

Against Ivory coast moffi would've been a better replacement most especially in situations when you're playing a countet attacking football

I believe the reason Onuachu was brought in instead of Moffi was his height advantage which can help the team in defending as well as a threat to the opponent’s box when the team attacked

Also Onuachu’s slender frame and height was good to hold up play and attract fouls

To me bringing him in was perfect tactical move by the coach

KC cannot play wing he neither has the pace or the technical ability required and 1V1 & 1V2 dominance required. Tella is much better.
when Peseiro plays him there, he plays him as an AMR(right attacking midfielder) not necessarily a wing forward.

How tall is Haaland and would you call him slow ?
I used the word "Most".

Our style of play doesn't suit bean pole strikers.

It's not just Onuachu. It affected Simy Nwankwo's chances in 2018 WC in Russia, even though he was in form with his club Crotone in the Series A that season.

Most players with high centre of gravity tend to be slow.

Right on. Having AFCON every two years is starting to pay off.The rise of the likes of E.Guinea, Cape Verde, and many others will increase competitiveness across the board.

I foresee a good outing for CAF at the 2026 Mundial.

I also think European born players of African origin now playing for their motherland have increased the quality of play we now see including the ever increasing foreign based players who migrated. Impressive!

he played two minutes cheesy
This same stuff affecteɗ Simy Nwankwo's chances of getting enough game time in 2018 WC, even though he had 8 goals in his last 8 games in the Series A b4 the WC in Russia.

Our style of play doesn't suit bean pole strikers.
