Does it make sense to you? Ode! 🤣🤣 Your people are known to be disrespectful to their seniors and elders. It is a known fact. |

lilytender: Any Governor can Impeach any King wether First Class, Second Class or Third Class. Do you know who a Governor is? Lmao. Just one letter from the state Government House and the King is removed! Wetin dem no talk about Ganduje vs Sanusi Wetin come Sup last The Governor is the 001 of a state. In fact the State Government owns all the lands in their respective states in Nigeria. He can lock up that palace and nothing will happen. Governor?? ?? ?? ? 1 Like |

Ndibunna: Am from Anambra State. What exactly do you call a stool. Stool translates to Okwa, which simply means having a role, not kingship. There was nothing like Igwe any where, except for Onitsha people who claim to come from Benin with their Obi. Go and ask your elders for the truth. There were titled men, but they were not kings. Within the Ozo, NZe or Someother Stock grouping, there was the highest titled Man who led procedures and rituals, as well as decision making. Some time two or three man were equally titled and they countered each other. But there was no king. Where the British won such men, they gave them armed police and called them warrant Chiefs. Where such leaders opposed the British, which was the case in most communities, they looked for the most Dubious Character in the community and gave him armed police and named him warrant chief to oppose the real community leadership. This is captured well in the story of things fall apart by Chinue Acheba. Igbos are republican, every man had his say, even though all men were not equal. No man was appointed a king by the people. Rather you level of title determined your political role, stool or Okwa. Power was shared, not a monarchy. |

YourGFsnatcher: Bros, it's because there is no definition of powers and roles. President wants to act as Kings. Local Kings are referencing whole states as their dominion, Governors are stringing traditional rulers, giving them unconstitutional roles in other to use them for elections. Even Nigeria as a country is neither running the presidential system which is based on confederacy, nor the parliamentary system. Rather a cocktail that makes the president so powerful without counter checks. So the system was designed by the British for looting. That's why our leaders are still looting to this day, and our police is primarily protecting the looters as the British designed them. 1 Like |

GerogeI: Long story without knowing the history of towns and communities equals someone reading epistles in Google's. Whereas I specifically named a town in Anambra, all you have to do is to go and verify his accurately not kind of reciting things fall apart for me here which is what most of you guys who have no deep knowledge of various town historical lines do. It's a pity. You should have realised you have no validation even most of these histories have been discussed here and laid to rest years ago. You can as well use nairaland as your research tool. Thank you. |
