@SleepingTablets
what do you mean by the bolded below?....your response here is laced in deceit, you have craftly created a path to yourself...this is fraud!
@Pharaoh001...this guy is here on a mission, don't be deceived, if you message or contact him ...you are on your own. He finds it difficult to be genuine, He is here advocating for agent as if an agent has a separate embassy in Lagos. CORNY MAN....someone has accused him of fraud. However, please check if you are applying for the correct visa category. B1/B2 is for visitor not for those with job offer.

SleepingTablets:

@Pharaoh001

The agents you avoided are still going to be the one that will rescue your situation because if you continue with this application, then your US Employment- visa might ended up in the red sea like King Pharaoh's chariots ๐Ÿ˜€

1. Be very careful and let people verify if your US employment letter is genuine or not , otherwise, you might be playing lawn tennis with online- fraudsters .

2. The class of visa you applied for according to your CGI portal only allows you to stay in the US forย 29 days and you must leave the United States within that timeframe. *** Do you think that the embassy will grant u work-visa based on such timeframe ?

3. If i see your invitation letter i can verify if it's genuine or not , or probably you are the one who have chosen the wrong visa category. US have varieties of work-visa types (which can be confusing ) like ;

H-1B, H-1C,ย H-2A, H-2B, H-3 etc.

**** The EB-3 visasย are available to those holding a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, as well as skilled and unskilled laborers who have a non-temporary offer of employment from a U.S. employer. (Yours is temporary offer according to your CGI portal).

4. For your current Appointment situation , THE ONLY SOLUTION for you is to go and pay another MRV but don't pay it yet . Allow people or research very well if your US employment letter is genuine and most especially what kind of visa category you should apply to.

5. If your visa category still falls under same C1 visa please don't apply , the embassy won't grant you work-visa based on such very short period except if you have been going to and fro (into the US) before with special skills . I would rather if your employer is genuine they invite you first and you apply for B1/B2.

God Bless Nigeria .

This is the only tabs on my dashboard. And my appointment history showed scheduled nov 2025. Next line showed canceled nov 2025.

When I clicked on the "cancel appointment" tab it is asking me if want to cancel nov 2025. I dont know what to do again
Wait for 24-48 hours youโ€™ll see the EA option again.

Iโ€™d suggest you find threads on NL for your class of visa. This place is for visit visa.
You may find better info elsewhere.

Have searched and searched. C1d is a crew visa people hardly talk about. I've learnt that it's similar to h1b but i am only staying in us for a day to board my ship.

Send an email to the Consulate or Embassy.
You should get a reply with a link to Visa Navigator form. That will help you โ€œcommunicateโ€ with someone at the embassy.
The response will look like photo below.
The visa navigator link is also at https://ng.usembassy.gov/visas/important-visa-information/

I need advice please. I applied for a visa myself by avoiding travel agents.
I got a job in the u.s and i am to resume in early june 2024 but my appointment date was Nov 2025. After some few minutes i saw that the appointment has been cancelled but it still reflect on my dashboard as Nov 2025. I was in a panic mode and I don't know what to do. They have been asking me to upload my visa appointment date to complete my onboarding process, so I applied for emergency appointment stating my date and i uploaded a pdf of my employment letter showing my arrival dating and every other details. I received a mail now that my emergency application has been denied. Pls what can i do because I don't want to lose this job coz It was really hard getting it and my medical cert would have expired before November 2025.
Best of luck

I am qualified and I will get the visa on interview date and i will be here to give testimony by God's grace. The visa is only hard if you don't have employment letter. And again thats the kind of visa class my company ask me to apply for to complete my onboarding process. You can't transit with visiting visa and be working on water. Btw, i already chose abuja in my application.
Best of luck

They usually suspect Nigerians with the visa. The first time i got it was from Nigeria and unlike visit visa, they will drill you. The few Nigerians i met onboard were recruited from dubai and south Africa. i met a lady from Abuja in SPA department in Australia . She was denied the C1/D but her manning agent posted her to Australia and now Europe.

it is possible but difficult with low positions .

once again, best of luck.

Make sure you know about the job very well when you go for interview. They will ask you technical details of your job description .

Problem is that i am yet to be given a chance for the interview to know my fate so i can decide on what next.

Like i said , your position matters. By the way, this visa is compulsory for everyone that works onboard unless you hold American/canadian passport. Wether you are British, Australian etc, you must get the visa. If you enter USA with B1B2, You must exit first and re-enter with C1D to work onboard.

The way to get the emergency appointment is to get a letter from your manning agent (Not employment letter) stating that you have a critical position onboard and that if you are not onboard, it will stall operations and results in significant business loss for the company. The manning agents always have that letter . ASK.
God!!! I should have come here to ask before applying for EA. I didn't know and I uploaded only Loe. I searched every thread on NL A-Z no one has ever discussed extensively about c1d. Thanks once again pls check your mail.
