The 'Misses Ighalo' era. If not for Rohr who kept faith with him Odion would have lost his national team space after the 2018 WC.

comodo:
He has forgotten so soon that it was in this forum that Ighalo was nicknamed ABF. It get why.

That was not the intent. They are excellent.

I’m not writing off Cameroon. If we can create chances as we have and we can utilize them, we will go all the way to the finals. But if we keep struggling as we have, forget it

caprikon:
I hope we realize that CMR are also licking their lips at the somewhat weakened path to the semis/final.

Expect fireworks on Saturday.

I will go with Bright at RWB on Saturday. That Cameroon left winger is one of their biggest threats. And if there is one player I can vouch for to come out victorious in 1vs1, it is Bright.

Lookman and Iwobi behind Osimhen. Raph and Yusuf completing the Midfield. Omeruo, Ekong and Bassey at the back.
Are the duo of Onyeka and Ajayi injured or out of the game because of yellow card accumulation? If fit both guys are eligible, they are definitely starting.

I like the Nigerian team because they are always calm and no unnecessary running around. That's why we don't concede much

We always use the line “African football is different...” when we want to make an excuse for choosing a mediocre locally raised footballer ahead of the supposed biscuit boys or how do Zuchyblink and Idenna even put it?

So far in this AFCON, it has been Aina, Chinedu-Bassey and Troost Ekong showing up the most, and none was born in Idumota🤨

LWB. BTW, Aina and Bassey give us tactical flexibility in case we want to shuttle between 4 and 5 at the back.
Did you watch Aina interview?
That guy is struggling to play LWB
Better to have him play position that he enjoys
It’s not easy for someone that’s right handed

Some of my observations from our group games so far
The boys have showed real hunger in all the matches played so far most especially the defence , lookman and onyeka...
Sanusi has good position awarenss in attacking positions, but his finishing is a major issue,
Aribo non existent as a central midfielder, way too limited and went missing in the last game.
Our defence has been top notch, but its obvious our centre backs are limited on the ball reason we have issues progressing the ball out of the back most times and often go long and the ball playing limitations of onyeka is also a reason for this..
Lastly peseiro has suprised me alot, I never knew he could be this flexible with this Set ups
He's gotten his tactics spot on, had our forwards been more clinical We could have topped the group effortlessly.

Brother have you properly checked this thing
Sure this doesn’t look like Morocco in the Semifinals undecided

We would play Morocco or Cape Verde in the semifinals
I have a feeling Cape Verde will edge Morocco, maybe Pks, but still early talk.

Guinea-Bissau coach, Baciro Cande was duly impressed by the strength of the Super Eagles.

"Nigeria were strong. Very stable defensively and of course very dangerous up front with their pace.

"For me, they are one of the favourites for the title."
