To even put the Ewedu hard them. It's so annoying the way people are beginning to take advantage of the high cost of things to cheat their customers. We know things are expensive but is that why one can not get what they paid for? I mean this food was paid for but where is the soup meant for the swallow? It's crazy and op can not protest it?

See the sick looking stew self.
it's like you are not in Nigeria. Go to the market yourself and see the prices of things yourself.

Ewedu is expensive now. Its off season for upland farmers. Only those farmer in water logged areas can produce it. And places like that aren't much to come by.

I went out to get lunch somewhere in Lagos today and this the food I bought for N600. That’s 4 portions of Amala with meat and ponmo.

I think a lot of food people are selling these days are over priced.
I don't know why you guys like kpomo.

Though the amala is cheap.

That means, the Amala is 400 naira, and the meat is 200 naira. Kinda cheap...

Where I eat Amala in Lagos Island, phase 2 to be precise a portion of Amala is 200 naira... That portions you have there is about 800 naira.......meats start from 200 naira per piece..

Did you use Juju for the seller, that's a black Amala and it should cost #800 alone for the 4, and again, some people are still reasonable in the country o. Cutting #100 meat by this time should not be taken for granted.

Apo Elubo I used to buy cheap was sold 250k last week and you're here complaining.

The Amala alone is about N600 at Amala Skye in Ibadan lol...then with the meat...you will be paying about N1000 for this so thank your lucky star. If you don't want to pay, cook....cos sellers will need to pay for foodstuff and make enough to pay their own living expenses as well.

Yea@ bold. I was with some farmers last week who were very happy a basin of garri is now sold for almost N12,000. They were pointing out to me how they sold a basin of garri for N2,500 in 2018. How garri business has become so lucrative due to rise in dollar and subsequent rise everywhere else.

Same land, same cassava stem for planting, same planting techniques with adherence to the planting season, yet, in a space of 6yrs, garri price have quadrupled.

Na we dey do ourselves.
Go and farm and sell it at 500 naira.
Inflation doesn't happen in isolation. It hits everything.

Although OP never mentioned anything about work. I take food to work. 99% of my colleagues do as well, and I don't know of anyone making less than 10m a year on my team.

Eating out quickly adds up and end up being expensive in the long run.
