I went out to get lunch somewhere in Lagos today and this the food I bought for N600. That’s 4 portions of Amala with meat and ponmo.

I think a lot of food people are selling these days are over priced.

Four portion of amala and meat plus ponmo for just paltry N600 lol. This should be deep in the Trenchesgrin

Four portion of amala plus meat and ponmo in my estate is N2000+.

Four Portion Of Amala:N1,200
Two Meat:N1000
Two Ponmo:N400

Besides i don't even like ponmo. I usually opt for the N2000 big croaker fish and meats.

Whenever i crave to eat local delicacy like Amala. I will just budget N4000.

Don't blame them. The Naira is devalued. You think you paid #600 while in essence you only paid #250. That's the problem. Salaries remains the same but the buying power of money is so devalued it's difficult for the common man to survive.

To even put the Ewedu hard them. It's so annoying the way people are beginning to take advantage of the high cost of things to cheat their customers. We know things are expensive but is that why one can not get what they paid for? I mean this food was paid for but where is the soup meant for the swallow? It's crazy and op can not protest it?

See the sick looking stew self.

He can actually protest it against the real source of the high cost of things, which is the economic cluelessness of the current federal government.

Less than a dollar in Nigeria, $23 to $25 in the US. God bless Nigeria.

What is the minimum wage in America, and the unemployment rate there?

Do Americans pay for their children to be in school with adequate teachers and other staff? Or Americans buy water from boreholes while providing electricity for themselves due to enduring government failures?

Are you sure that you know what you’re talking about

In my side of the country this food here would cost nothing less than 1k.

Will your 'side of the country' also cook that same disgusting stew in the name of soup??
Why packing oil for an innocent customer and loading up his cholesterol in the name of serving him soul

Will it also serve you amala and soup/stew in one dirty plastic plate?

Don't tell half yeye story to get some likes from yoruba boys.

Yea@ bold. I was with some farmers last week who were very happy a basin of garri is now sold for almost N12,000. They were pointing out to me how they sold a basin of garri for N2,500 in 2018. How garri business has become so lucrative due to rise in dollar and subsequent rise everywhere else.

Same land, same cassava stem for planting, same planting techniques with adherence to the planting season, yet, in a space of 6yrs, garri price have quadrupled.

Na we dey do ourselves.

You're being economical with the truth. What about cost of transportation? Do you know how much they pay to transport their farm produce?
