It is not just about law enforcement agency being wicked but the average Nigerian being wicked if given a little authority or power. Customs officers do it. Airport staff do it. Passport office staff do it. Bank tellers do it. The gatemen at Alausa do it.

True, but Nigerians become worse being when given licence to carry a gun.

It is just more high profile. It is part of the same wickedness. The gun might make them bolder, but the average Nigerian will show you the shege he is able to show you in whatever little kingdom he has, be it First Bank withdrawal counter, MMIA Departure Wing, or Police checkpoint.

Ijaw language is included. They just made Chinese language as a subject.

They must be teaching Bayelsa students using Chinese now and have removed English language as the official language.

Also, I guess Bayelsa students will have the option of writing WAEC/ NECO/JAMB and other exams in Chinese? Beautiful!

Usually when your tribesman is in power your people enjoy most of the dividends of democracy cum national cake. However for the Yorubas and people who live in the SW this is far from the truth. I feel for them because this administration is supposed to mean economic advancement but instead it is poverty. The poverty in the north, SS and SE is also in the SW. The naira devaluation and rising prices is not making anyone enjoy this administration including those it is meant to serve first hand. This was supposed to be awa lokan but here we are hearing... Ebi pa wa.

First of all, that initial statement is not true AND should not even be true. With the North ruling Nigeria for so many years, it is still the most backward region. OBJ didn't do much for the SW and neither did Jonathan for Bayelsa.

Secondly, what you posted is not necessary at all.

I just wanted to point out to the bigots around us that voting along tribal lines does not necessarily mean advantage. Bad economic policies affects everyone including the bigots.

People in the north who carried Buhari on their heads suffered equally from the insecurity as much as those in the south if not more. Now those in the SW are suffering from the failing economy as much as those in the other regions. The lesson is support who you feel can do the job and not who is from your tribe.

It is okay to dislike the President, question his integrity and competence but is totally irresponsible to throw an entire ethnic group into it, especially when the voting pattern says otherwise. If it is done against our own people I know I will have a problem with it, so will you.

Awa Lokan but Asiwaju lost Osun and Lagos States, 2 states in the SW, his region of origin. Do Yorubas from those states fall into your equation? We all agree the situation in Nigeria is dire but this isn’t the angu.

Please highlight the potions of my post that suggest in anyway an attack on people from SW.

If you can't it means you mistaken my post for the usual bigotry people do or you want to sound nice even if it means ignoring the facts.

An apology would be accepted.

Only Igbos vote without thinking of tribe, that is why nearly 90% of them voted Obi. The rest of Nigeria does not know who can do the job, which is why Obi did not get up to 50% in any other region.

Tinubu got 53% in the SW. Obi got 87% in the SE. Atiku got 50% in the NE. Tribe was not involved. Just that people supported who they felt can do the job.

Your commentary about people who vote along tribal lines is defeated since Asiwaju lost 2 SW states, invariably, not all Yorubas believed in him.

Awa Lokan, simply means it is our turn! Asiwaju believes it is the turn of Yorubas but that did not translate in the SW as he was carried by the North more than his own region and the disgraceful over-cooking that happened in Rivers.

How do the people of Rivers state factor into this your angu? You are the one who should tender an apology because you have misrepresented facts.

My post was directed at those who voted along tribal lines not necessarily every body from the tribe. This is because it is expectation that generally if a man is in power his people benefit more which over the years have been found to be false yet they still make the same mistake. In fact I even included those who live in that region who are not from the tribe.

I expect this discussion to be directed at them not me for saying the obvious fact.

Face the Igbo if you want to play the tribe cards because 99.9% of them voted obi
If emilokan can lose Lagos and Osun your tribal whatever can't hold water

Many Igbos voted for Obi because he is Igbo but don't think all 90% did so along that line. There are bigots everywhere and events have shown that it doesn't favour anyone including my people.

The Yorubas are the target now because the president is Yoruba. If he was Igbo and doing all these nonsense I would have targeted the Igbos. So quench this tribalistic perspective and fact the reality.

Another example is 20 out of the past 24 years have seen governors of Imo state come from Orlu zone but that zone remains the least developed. May be I should have posted this instead. Bigotry has eaten deep into our minds that when someone says something about a tribe not his, he is immediately judged to be tribalistic.

There is nothing specific to bigoted Yorubas in the the embolden. You pretty much lumped the entire region together, forgetting 2 SW states did not want Asiwaju to be President, neither did they believe in the “Awa Lokan” nor voted along tribal lines. So you have misrepresented facts.

May be you didn't understand the post, all you needed to do was to ask for explanation or clarification. I have explained my point but it seems you want to explain my point for me. You are trying to sound politically correct. This is the problem we have in this country. We leave the message and attack the messenger.

The entire post was directed to those who believe in awa lokan. Hence others are simply excluded. If you think I am attacking all Yorubas why not look at the post again with a clear mind.
