why CIMT? Is it because of the cheap and easy admission... Anyways, i will confirm if you can work while studying. I will get back to you later in the day. But you can change institution when you get to Canada. No worries

Yes you can work but no PGWP after your program.

I once applied to the school and the school replied me that I can work for 20hours per/week but no PGWP

You don't need to be worried, if it is more than 9 weeks you can raise a webform.

That school takes time for their offer to drop most times, you can still email them or call them.
RayOFLife:
Good evening fam.

I applied to the university of Regina for a 2years diploma program and my application was confirmed to be in progress for processing on the 24th, November. The follow up email from the school was that it'll take appropriate 7weeks. And now it's over 7weeks and nothing from them. I have mailed the school twice and no reply.

Should I still be patient because it's normal or what do you think?

if your sister is providing the 80% of your POF, let it be available in your account while she do cash gift deed with her employment documents. Or the greater percent should be available to you she can also explain in the letter of support/sponsorship her commitment to you. Ensure all the money or a greater percent is deposited in your account.

What exactly are you disagreeing with? Your response didn't even address the question asked. He submitted application on January 15th hence he isn't affected by the new law. So what exactly were you disagreeing with?

Yes, a reapplication is considered a new application at this point you have no choice but to wait till an attestation letter becomes available. you should defer your program
Themillionman:
can someonee who applied nov ...got refused in january and trying to reapply go ahead....or its also considered new application ...because march 21 0r 31 is too long to reapply for someone who plans to leave early week of April for may intake

Hello Gurus

I need advice on this issue

Iā€™m 25years old, Iā€™m in my finals in one of the best uni in Nigeriaā€¦ my uncle chatted me recently and told me to apply for Canada student visa with my weac result. Heā€™s sponsoring everything obviously.

Do you think I should start afresh in Canada or just wait to finish BSc ?

If Iā€™m starting afresh should I apply to college, diploma or university?

Please help with tips

Doraehi:
Hello everybody. Recently I've been so confused especially because of my academics.

I'm just 16 years old, I'll be 17 by 16th of June, 2024. And I don't really want to waste time in my education because the clock is ticking. So I don't know, should I just wait till next year, September 2025 or do you think I should go ahead with the process this year. I need honest opinions because it would be really useful. Alot of you are pretty much experienced than I and my parents are, so your advice would be really helpful.

Also, if you know any way I could be able to get proof of funds and tuition (it could be through a loan) and get visa approval, please share.

Iā€™m currently undergoing my Masterā€™s program in Canada, I see the struggles of students in their undergrad and my honest opinion will be for you to get into a private uni in Nigeria ( to avoid ASUU), when youā€™re done with your undergraduate studies you can now push for your masters abroad.
Reason undergraduates studies is too expensive here in Canada unless youā€™re on scholarship itā€™s such a big burden on your parents considering youā€™re their first.
As an undergraduate you go to school everyday, so you canā€™t even work part time except during winter, which means your parents will take care of your every need.
I know this is hard because you have dreams but if you canā€™t get a scholarship please consider being patient.
God bless.

Most of you only believe in your pastor thatā€™s why people who live here donā€™t come to share their experiences. I am way better in Nigeria than here I have lived here for 3 years and just waiting for few things and moved back home or move to the US and come here once a while.

I will not argue with your point rather Iā€™ll give you some food for thoughts, I am not far from you in my expenses because I am in a self sponsored Masterā€™s program.
But I will never allow negativity win, when I got here reality hit me so hard, because I was doing well in Nigerian standards but I had to adjust, all the years I spent in Abuja flexing I couldnā€™t meet a decent lady that I can settle down with but just 6 months in Canada I met a beautiful, humble, intelligent, hard working Nigerian girl. What are the odds if I didnā€™t move Iā€™ll probably be married to one slay queen.
Iā€™m not yet PR but bro I am forever positive, I know why I left, and I wasnā€™t expecting to become a millionaire overnight.
Do not generalize, you are disappointed in your journey not everyone is, I pray you find reasons to be thankful and the money you spent with time youā€™d get it back. Finally you can still head back home, remember your happiness is important.
