I went to beans village at the outskirt of Abuja with the Hope I was going to buy beans at a pocket friendly price ,but i was shocked at the current price.

After having budgeted 20k for it, I got there only to be told that, the price was about 51k.

Immediately i remembered the price might further go up,I just I had to bargained and I eventually met a borno woman who sold her iron beans at 44k to me.

The inflation has finally affected everything especially food.

I wonder how it would be in time to come.

From the mentions you've been receiving, I'll advise you take this up as a side hustle, and start supplying those in the east.

What what I gathered, it is sold @100k+ in both Lagos and also the east, but it is sold at an average of 50k in Nasarawa.

So I'll advise you use this information to the best you can because this government isn't smiling at anyone.

We eat it once a week and I want to store it in about two 20 litres so as to last me one year.

In my father's voice, even if I don't have money at least let there be enough food at home.

That is what I learnt from my dad.
How do you store it that it doesn't get spoilt till one year?

My madam in the office gave me a secret she said, store it in tight jericans and maje sure it is air tight and leave it that way and it would remain their as fresh as it is.

She said, she has beans that has been stored for three years in her house.

Although,I have been storing mine in the freezer all this time.

I need to try her method.

Yes brother.
Ok, are there specific market days or it's a daily market? I am a woman by the way. Is the beans way cheaper there than in masaka market?

Likely, because they don't sell in Mudu in this market but masaka sells in mudu.

Even garri is no longer affordable.

God! I bought the one in my house for 28k in August, 2023 and it will be exhausted anytime soon. I can't imagine me buying a bag of beans that expensive.
