a team conceding one goal means stingy defence not necessarily the best defence
How can a bad defense be stingy?

Define a stingy defense in contrast with a best defense. We want to learn from you sir. Don’t fold

currently we hv enough strikers and he has to do something extra ordinary to attract the nff and super eagles coaching crew

I think when it comes to tapping this European born players the major focus for now should be in areas where the team lacks quality for instance midfield and defense

CBs like Ekong, Ajayi and Omeruo are still dependable but are aging at the same time. one or two understudies can be drafted to the team to learn from the above trio as well as serve as their heir when they eventually retires

In midfield, a player like Aribo should be dropped for now in order to give others a chance to show what they can offer

the wings should be under consideration too. Inconsistent players like Moses and Samu need competitions to sit out or to be dropped. Musa after the afcon I believe wants to retire and a player like Tella should be his replacement. Belgium based Yira Sor can be given a chance to battle for shirt with Samu and Moses

I agree with your assertions with regards to the wings, defense and midfield, but I seriously doubt that Aribo is going to be dropped anytime soon, due to the shortage of midfielders in that squad.

Concerning Elijah Adebayo, I wonder what else he needs to do to get a call up. This guy has scored 8 goals for a very poor Luton side that has been battling relegation for most of the season, and his goals have now managed to lift them off the relegation spots for the first time in a long time.

He's about to get to double digits in the Premier League, which not a lot of Nigerian strikers can boast of. Perhaps, when that happens, that'll be considered extraordinary enough to earn him an invitation 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️.

between north and central Africa. Olodo

The real olodo in here is actually you. Africa is divide into 5 subdivisions, geopolitically, which are north, south, east, west and central. Central apart, anyone found between two regions gets placed or ceded to a particular region, hence the non existence of the south East, south west, north east, north west etc. Geographically, Mauritanian can be located in the north western part of Africa, which means, they lie in between West Africa and North African but they are geopolitically recognized as a West African state not NorthWest African, same is also applicable to Tchad ceded to Central Africa.

Because Nigeria have the best overall character and culture to win tournaments among all the remaining countries, distantly followed by CIV.
All of them will be rooting against us
yes pedigree is on our side.

Imagine a euros were the quarter finalists are Italy,Greece, england, Czech republic, Norway's, Austria,Sweden, and Portugal...all other teams will be wishing for Italy to get kicked out because they have better experience wining the trophy, better pedigree

The trouble with stats they don't tell you the quality of the assist and or the goal 🥅.

A player may have dribbled and skilled 6 players before passing the ball for someone to tap it in.

Michael Olise was taking players I and giving pin point accurate crosses both of them are poetry in motion. Eze goal from a precision ball from Olise simply Magical.
All your plaudits na because they are borough boys

Is there any other team that has only conceded one goal in that tournament? Or you don't know what best defence means?

How does the avoidability or otherwise of the goal take away from the fact that the defense has only let in one goal unlike the others?
Mali. Conceded one goal against Tunisia.

Exactly all the 'smaller teams' on the continent have lost respect for the bigger teams on the African continent.

If you don't bring on match day you will be disgrace. CIV, Ghana, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco can testify.

This is truly a no gree for anybody tournament. grin

Pray good fortune hopefully follows with our best form on Friday.
