You need to get Olabode, Mikechinos, Leyqute into the department too. I think it is mainly about watching them in detail over time. If most of us put in that kind effort we will get it right more often than not.

I have watched practically every single Under-18 game Mainoo ever played. Even when we sent an Under-17 team for a mid-season tournament in the US I watched every single minute of his games.

That Under-18 coach is very good.

We need to be giving our technically gifted youth players more opportunities and support. I understand the importance of being physical in a league like the EPL but it shouldn't be the preliminary criteria for promotion. Building muscles is easy when you're in your late teens or early twenties. But developing vision, spatial awareness and overall football intelligence at that level is way more difficult.

Gomes' height did him in, I understand. But Nolan shouldn't have made it to the U-21s. Shola shouldn't have been rushed either. And IHA, Iqbal, and co should've had more support and opportunities.

I suspect focusing more on physicality is the reason Hannibal Mejbri has stalled even though the little devil get him own village people. Even Amad is getting less chances because he's less physical and because ETH is a dunce.

We would've missed out on Garnacho and Mainoo too if they were just a tad less physical.

That winning run could continue to the end of the season. I want at least 2 of these players to make it into the first team- if not as a starter but as a squad player.

If any first team player misbehaves, we should have already made replacements ready to take their spot.

Where you wan put Jordan Henderson and K. Phillips? Southgate will give his loyal boys steady chances. Mainoo might make the squad but he probably won't get many minutes.

The technical department has work to do.

We send players on useless, pointless, meaningless and sometimes even harmful loans.

We overstock certain positions in the academy and understock other positions, meaning some players don’t get developmental minutes in their natural position so they are shoe-horned to play in unnatural positions thereby hampering their development.
