COMPAQ:He knows...his target audience are the illiterate okrika sellers who beleive everything they read on the internet...he intentionally wanted to misinform them |

COMPAQ:Thank you for upholding your well taught values. Now let’s stay on topic, the red rail was touted as a separate rail different from the NRC infrastructure (current one that runs to Iddo), except they plan to use that how is the red rail ready? I haven’t seen any construction since I last visited Lagos, they are not using a subway model. Remember blue rail construction has been ongoing for 15yrs and only phase one is done. Is the phase one active? can you confirm you can go ride the blue rail today. Its not about what is said on the news but what the ground reality is. |

Basic123:By your response I can tell you lack comprehension. First my target audience are illiterates who can’t read/write but then I am writing on Nairaland….pray tell, how am I misinforming them. I would love to break your response further at how ludicrous it sounds but it’s not the effort. |

oyeb15:For now, red line is not electric because it's owned by FG. Lagos state Gov is only using the FG track for it's Red Line transit. If FG electrifies the Lag-Ibadan rail, then state government can easily put electric trains on it. |
| Re: LASG Acquires More Train-Rolling Stocks For Blue And Red Line Rail Operations by BreconHills(m): 10:52am On Feb 02, 2024 |
oyeb15:It's already electric. |

nastyesco:Red line is ready. Fully ready. The fact that you haven't seen it does not mean it does not exist. I have seen it. Yes it does share right of way with lagos Kano in places. Which is how train systems should work. Interoperability. The only thing that held up the blue line was the refusal of the then PDP federal government to grant right of way over Federal land. This is no longer an issue. This is an excellent article https://autoreportng.com/2023/07/photos-a-look-into-lagos-red-line-rail-project.html/amp |

gentleg87:So they should return the trains so you go back to jumping into buses like villagers because it's not free of charge |

Basic123:Well, Lagos can raise cash in tax for the rail, (and even borrow self). Anambra cannot, because it does not have the populaiton, so stop the mockery. If Lagos was never the federal capital or the main port, it would have been as broke as Anambra. I no vote for OBi, i no be igbo, I no vote for tinubu or atiku, so don't go there. |

nairalanda1:😆..who cares about who you voted for...and nobody cares what you claimed to be your fvcking tribe on this faceless forum. Why signing MOU and promise the poor people of Anambra,if the state has no means of generating IGR to sponsor that?...The man plan was to SCAM as usual! By the way, someone grew Lagos IGR,it was never like that January 1999....the EKWENSU according chioma never changed the IGR of Anambra 8yrs after ruling that state. By the way,why was your own home town not chosen as the capital?...The Britain saw a thriving lagos and they made it the capital and why has lagos even became greater 33yrs after he seized to be the capital?? And for your information,Awolowo and yorubas never wanted lagos to be the capital of the country. Go and read History. Awolowo even suggested that they should choose another neutral place and he would sponsor the construction! |

Basic123:It is because Lagos was the capital that it has advatages other states do not. Also, most South western states, like other states, cannot build a similar project. The cash is not there. They would either take massive loans, or charge high taxes. |

nairalanda1:Lagos was the capital just 1/5 of Lagos not Lagos state. Rivers state was created along with Lagos state in 1966. Why was Lagos choosed as capital and not your home town?....Lagos has been Lagos before it was vhoosed to be capital. Rivers cans also undertake such a project. STOP GIVING YOUR USELESS GOVERNOR INCLUDING OTHER SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS FLIMSY EXCUSE! |

Basic123:Lagos was the capital of S0uthern NIgeria from 1906, then Nigeria from 1914...till 1991-5. |

nastyesco:Oga just use your google and twitter. LAMATA have issued several videos and statements on state of the infrastructure. The track is like 95% and the LAMATA lady said all stations except one is ready. And yes, they use part of the new Lagos Ibadan corridor and track for some parts and i think fresh or old track for other parts. Just google pls |

How come no one is asking if the extra Red Line rolling stock being purchased are more of those fudge ugly sets they got from the yanks or are the Chinkos (hopefully) providing diesel versions of the Blue Lines EMU's, this should be interesting . |
