We will beat SA, but they will give us problems in the WC qualifiers.
Qualifiers are a long way out.

Make we first clear them as dem dey front so. I will not even mind them getting one over us at the WCQ, as long as we don't lose to them on this stage.

If I am SA with this type of keeper I would play 10 at the back and force you to penalties. Nobody is winning a penalty shoot out against SA.

We must win under 120 minutes or forget about it!
Me believe it's not that the keeper is that good, rather the kicks were poor.. Uzoho would likely have save 2 of those CV pk too

Elijah Adebayo should be Onuachu’s replacement in the super eagles going forward. He is more mobile and stronger on the ball than the Trabzonspor striker

Gabriel Osho deserves a chance in our defense

He's a coach so he knows what his country is up against with

Yes, it’s the result but I would rather defend a 3-0 lead than a 1-0 lead. Example, Mali. Had they taken their PK and scored the 2nd, they likely are in the final.
see every team desires to score goals in a match but sometimes it doesn't go that way, see the Cape Verde vs SA match, you think they both didn't want to score? so what if the goals are not coming, what will you now do? The Malians threw in everything but it didn't go their way.

These chances thing e no easy like that o, na people wey dey field sabi how e dey go. What if the opposition has a goalkeeper making saves all day nko?

By give problems I don’t mean they will beat us. But they will give us problems. We will need our calculator. And we will not win our games H and A. That your prediction won’t come true.

No fear my sister. It’s CIV vs Naija in the finals as I’ve said before.

Oh lawd ,,, I believe we shall scale through SA with more determination, relentless hardwork diluted with Luck and God’s favor 💯 by our boy’s side …

I hope Osimhen could score amazing 2 goals 🙏🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬… It’s good for his image too

What I’m seeing from all these matches is we need to be clinical. If you get 3 chances, convert them and do it quickly. When you kill the game early, you kill the opponent’s spirit to fight.

I like that our defense is solid but holding a 1-0 for 60+ mins still keeps the opponent in it. Don’t get one goal and just sit back. Finish the game
The way we retreat and sit deep for large spells of the game is very dangerous. It attracts too much pressure.

Cape Verde was more technical has very dangerous splitting passes.

SA defence is good so we need to watch out and avoid them dragging us into extra time but they will have their hands full with an oshimen, lookman and Simon attack
Osimhen is exhausted. JPes does not have the boldness of Westerhof who threw in Amunike in the final of Afcon 94 notwithstanding the fact that Amunike had not played any match before that time. Amunike was talismanic - he delivered by scoring two goals.

In 2000 semi against SA, Bonfrere Joe who moved Tijani to the right. First half, we knack them two.

Osimhen is tired.

Nigeria's teenage sensational defender, Fredrick Benjamin of Brentford should start getting call ups to the Super Eagles.

The young man is very solid at the back.

If he is good enough then he is old enough..
the way una take dey rush young players eeeh, nawaoooo

Fredricks has all the time in this world to become a super eagle but he shouldn’t be rushed. He is yet to play first team football for Brentford, making their match day squad shows improvement but is that enough to bring him to the super eagles?

He needs time and to get accustomed to men’s football first. A loan to a weaker and developmental league will aid his development hopefully next season so he should be allowed to gradually make the leap to professional football before any invite

We don’t lack defenders, players like Ogbu,Toru,Osho etc are yet to hv a chance added to few that may switch to us in the nearest future

Mk we relax and watch the boy develop his game abeg

Never! I want SE to beat them here, and home and away in wcq. We shouldn’t even joke with wcq. We should look at each match as a knockout game. Must win games

With what they have been playing in the knockout stages I agree with you.
Our prayers were answered.

I just hope our players makes full recovery before the match so key players can play full 90 minutes without loss of concentration due to fatigue and still have the lungs to run riot in the final.

Mhennnn, in all we do, our game against SA shouldn’t go to penalties because of that Williams.

The werey saved 4 penalties and the werey still has 4 clean sheets so far. 😅😅

Reminds me of enyeama that saved 4 PKs in the QF game against Tunisia in 2006.

Counter won't work for them because Nigeria now plays a defensive game.
Even when attacking, the SE usually leaves minimum 3 standing defenders at the back, with Onyeka shielding them... That's basically why the SE doesn't concede anymore. And also, S/A are very poor in converting their chances, they have scored in only 2 matches of the 5 matches they have played thus far
Spot on analysis

Actually that happens when they try to conserve energy levels
If we do our substitutions earlier, we can maintain the same shape throughout the game..

Alternatively, if our opponents don't score during those energy drop-off moments, e go hard for them to score again

I dont think Mali have a long term football development plan like Spain did...

They will never lack quality player given the generosity of France, but as a team, they're still poor..
What I saw yesterday looks a long term 0lan. Good number of young players, good football playing strategy and a management setup that looks sound. Maintain this for four years and they can do wonders.

Felt for Seydoux Keita today.

It's all risk. If Osimhen is subbed off 70 minutes, and the opposition scores or drags us to extra time, it will be dicey. That's why we need to bury our chances

So sir u think a player like Moffi can't wrap up the remaining 20+5 mins ?

U guys don't seems to understand that Pasiero is not substituting in the right players

Folks like Aribo or Onauchu are not supposed to be subbed in when u have the likes of Onyedika, Musa,Moffi and nacho on the bench even Bruno
