They should first trying running business and then come back to update this thread. Ndiara, you elect leaders at their retirement age and then blame Nigerians for their cluelessness 4 Likes |

kcprince:same Apc miscreants defended Dangote import of crude oil when we have unlimited deposits. Dangote took dollar loans with low interest and also access dollars at 300 official CBN rate when he was building his refinery. So in theory he's supposed to help Nigeria in this trying times. he's supposed to buy crude oil in naira from nnpc then refine and sell back and export for foreign exchange. in theory this refinery suppose to provide a succor for Nigerians in this trying times but No, it's now contributing to our woes by accessing our scarce dollars to import crude oil just because he feels he'll make more profits with that. Now tell me how's Dangote different from an importer in alaba international market importing and selling his goods at profits ? how's Dangote different from other citizens not patronizing made in Nigeria stuffs ? but Apc criminals defended him and called others enemies of Nigeria. Apc are the real enemies of Nigeria. 5 Likes |

Wastage & losses due to police or civil servants corruption is nothing to you, or possibly you do it too, that's why you don't think it's a big deal. Most people commit sucide when they loss big Time, because the money most times are borrowed! Last months a fine young gentleman committed sucide due to inability to repay loan. Look my friend, it's only a vile, wicked and seriously greedy soul that will ask a self employed person bribes! Police and civil servants have salaries, bonuses and pensions, and they ask self employed persons who do not have such safety nets.... It's only a wicked person that would do that! That wickedness is what y'all are reaping now! So don't fvcking complain! Rostikol: 2 Likes |

Is this ignorance or a careful manipulation? Same gaslighting that took place during dumb Buhari period. Some of us were labeled haters of Nigeria when we told them that the stupid “change begins with me” by buhari can’t work. How do you expect 220million people to do the right thing at the same time without an example from the leaders and backing it up with effective reward and punishment strategy? Do these people think at all? Now this one again. Buy made in Nigeria goods cause if you don’t; you are the cause of crashing niaira and thereby wants Tinubu to fail. In other words; a HATER of Nigeria. Look, people want the easiest life and the cheapest goods… and they have the right to seek for such so far the process is legit! Now, it’s up to the government to live by example and then organize policies that will fasten local production and patronage. Why can’t we copy those who have gone through this part and made it out successfully? Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong etc. A clear example is Singapore. Lee Kuan Yew had a rejected, chaotic, racially divisive and very poor population when he took over. Their case was 20 time worst than Nigeria at the moment. But he didn’t go about blaming and expecting the people to do the right thing all at the same time. He simply made sure he, his family members and his entire cabinet lived by example. He propounded policies that wet the ground for local production. The ease of doing business in Singapore since the 60s has been one of the top 3 in the world since when he took over. You can get your certificate of business in 24hrs. And all handled by one department. Electricity was his first project for he knew you can’t earn forex with using generator for production. Singapore does not have a single drop of crude oil in their land but they have been the top three largest producers of refined crude oil for close to 50 years now. Go and read “from third world to first” by Lee Kuan Yew to see how to develop a poor country. Well, it’s not that our leaders don’t know all these, but the problem has always been lack of political will to make some hard decisions. But in making these decisions, their own business interests will be touched too. 4 Likes |

It’s because Igbo’s re 70% producers of made in Nigeria goods, just like fg refuse to embrace innoson, it better we embrace the ingenuity of this Igbo people, they re the only people that can create wealth out of nothing, Igbo man apprenticeship has created more millionaires than any university in Nigeria, when obi was giving clear statistics with facts on Nigeria economy and how to move it forward, some quarters said “NA STATISTICS WE GO CHOP” now it shows the know nothing about the economy, they re confused, the vice president was visibly angry to calll some Nigerians clowns because he alleged that some Nigerians were mocking the naira fall of 1500 to dollar, may God have mercy on the sufferings of Nigerians. 1 Like |

Nuzo1: To hell with Lee Kuan Yew. Nigeria is Nigeria, not tiny Singapore. In Nigeria, a big change in consumer tastes can transform the entire economy, simply due to the massive size of the market. Take the women's hair care industry for instance. A SIMPLE DECISION by Nigerian women to favour plaits and weaves over imported BRAZILIAN HAIR AND PERMS could create 3 to 5 million new jobs and reduce capital flight to the tune of billions of dollars a year. You don't need Lee Kuan Yew to tell you that. So many more similar examples. Nollywood employs over 1 million Nigerians today, because Nigerians OF THEIR OWN VOLITION chose to patronise Nigerian movies over foreign. We didn't care about the 'quality' of the films compared to JAMES BOND films. IT WAS NOT GOVERNMENT THAT MADE US DO IT. ......Made us create those 1 MILLION NEW JOBS. WE did it. And guess what happened? THEIR QUALITY IMPROVED OVER TIME. Same as the music industry. What is YOUR alternative to such proactive citizen action? Sitting down in inertia, importing everything whIle blaming the govt as the economy tanks? We're more powerful than the govt. We just don't realise it. 2 Likes |

Until government learn to invest in boosting production in the country, Nigerians can't help but buy imported goods. Stop this fake narrative. As long as our production is mediocre, foreign remains the best choice. Stealing public funds for luxury and high cost of running government is one of the things that keeps production down. 1 Like |

Rostikol: You can call it utter rubbish but it takes massive investment to boost large scale production. We don't even have power to run production and also, we even import Petrol in large magnitude. It will take loads of investment for instance to boost large scale production in modular refineries around the country. Till we cut this corruption in our system, we can't say we should choose locally made goods to change the sinking economy. 1 Like |

Namaster: This is a well articulated comment sir. To add, another example was the case of importation ban on foreign rice. Unfortunately, the price of local rice was competing with smuggled foreign rice and the quality is so poor in terms of taste and serious unwanted particles that is dangerous to health. One thing I noticed is that Nigerians are very greedy and corrupt people such that at every situation, people explore it for their personal gains. 1 Like |
Re: Until We EMBRACE Made-in-Nigeria Goods, FORGET About Naira Value Rising! by TheGoodJoe(m): 6:58am On Feb 04 |
Dynamicboss: That is why banning or stopping is not the solution but boosting local production. Simple law of demand and supply. You ban importation of foreign rice, you make the local rice scarce and price will go up. Boost local rice production to have better quality than foreign rice and in large quantity and you will see the price go down and people preferring local rice. The answer is where we channel our investment. Which is boosting local production. Finito. 1 Like |

A lazy fellow calling others lazy. Have you ever manufactured anything in your entire life? Keyboard warrior, leaving the government and attacking the masses. Do you know that petroleum products is our major import? How many refineries has your government fixed so we can stop importing fuel? Re: Until We EMBRACE Made-in-Nigeria Goods, FORGET About Naira Value Rising! by Rostikol: 7:48am On Feb 04 |
jmoore: The Dangote refinery makes Nigeria Africa's biggest manufacturer and exporter of petroleum products, and addresses 100% of our local requirements. The Port Harcourt refinery was recently completed, further consolidating our self-sufficiency. You need to keep up with the news. The days of importing petroleum products are drawing to a close. What YOU can do is ADD to that progress by patronising Made in Nigeria goods and services! 2 Likes |
Re: Until We EMBRACE Made-in-Nigeria Goods, FORGET About Naira Value Rising! by Rostikol: 7:55am On Feb 04 |
toolovely: The thing was our population was low enough to conceal these issues, so oil money artificially shored up the naira in the 70s, to 90s. But as a nation of 240 million today, that oil money is a pittance. We need to boost internal productivity. The only REALISTIC way to do that is for a mindset change by the people which favours that local productivity, as occurred in the music and film industries. Other ways involve expecting ''the government'' to do this or the other, and we know what way that usually goes.. |

plaetton:Don't mind them they will be regurgitating worn out theories, the conditions for what they are saying is not yet available, so it's like putting the cart before the horse, a serious government will lay the foundation before building, for a start they should stop petrol importation and refine at home ,then take care of power, then encourage production through incentives and access to finance, promote agriculture and entrepreneurship, when this is done ,there will be products to patronise in Nigeria, because then there will be made in Nigeria, but now how many products are made in Nigeria that can be substituted for foreign products to conserve forex, very very few,the government is just playing to the gallery not serious 1 Like 1 Share |

Rostikol:You clearly don't know what you are talking about. I'm not sure you have ever run a manufacturing or production business before. Someone just told us how police corruption affected his business and that's just one out of many other factors. Now all the blame has to be heaped on the poor citizens while you completely absolve the government of all blame. We hear of massive corruption cases everyday and hardly does any of the perpetrators get punished. As a farmer you face the menace of the state sponsored Fulani herdsmen. Now when people complain, people like you term them lazy. Have you ever opened any thread to talk about government ineptitude and how it's affecting Nigerians? |

The blame game has started. This time they are blaming Nigerians for the incompetencies of a drug sniffing monkey Tinubu who is in france sniffing white substance There is nothing those who only understands the language of Gaz"elle garan"gaja cannot shift away from their clueless mandate thief. How many hardworking Nigerians have Houses overseas bought in Dollars and British pounds like Thief'nubu & his criminal goons The senior Advocate of Narcotics bought a House in the US with a whooping sum of over 400,000 dollars How much did Seyi buy his yacht How much did Tinubu spend going to Doha with over inflated errand boys.
