Learn to appreciate some people's little efforts. Without Osimhen it's unlikely we would have gotten to this stage but you're complaining because we're not winning matches by cricket scorelines.

Hugo Broos : " That was our worse performance at AFCON."

"We have to be strong against my friend Jose Peseiro who visited our country to pretend like he wanted to visit a Goalkeeper, but actually He wanted to spy on my Bafana camp for World cup qualifiers. Myself and Jose Peseiro we are the only two men who in the Continent to be hated so much by the media. But we communicate and remind ourselves that we are in charge, not you journalist who fuels supporters anger and criticism. All the negative begins with you before the fans can have a say. Football fans are the most important and innocent people in this game. But journalism always double cross the relationship between coaches and their fans. They call my team Sundowns to bring hate . They call Jose Peseiro team weak midfield. But we are with my friend to the semi final. Unfortunately one of us needs to go home after Wednesday. I hope we met in the Final"

"Nigeria have a golden Generation in Africa who can turn things be very quickly, meanwhile our goal as South Africa is to market our league to lead Africa and show them what is done in Europe can also be done in Africa."

Watching the Moses simon play is an eyesore. You dribble one, two players. Inside box 18, pass the ball, wahala.

KC starting seems the logical way to go but I think JP prefers two wingers who will always track back to defend. Iheanacho for all his clinical finishing is not one to knuckle down to defensive action.

Moniter0:
This is undoubtedly the ideal formation for the Super Eagles this AFCON. Simon can come on in the second half whenever the team is leading and wants to defend from the front.
Iheanacho can create chances and also score when presented with the opportunity. And can also combine well with Iwobi and lookman for Victor to benefit.

An unpopular opinion ion would be to start moffi or KC ahead of osimhen

SE profligacy is primarily his fault.

I don't hate him mind you although I'm not a huge fan.

His market value is sure to drop after this afcon and he really needs to work on his finishing and positioning. His movement off the ball too because he has the most offside for the SE even more than a retired ighalo.

I see many arsenal fans saying they don't want him again because they feel he is too profligate and they would prefer an Ivan tone to him. A very painfully true take nonetheless

Jpes needs to test other strikers or atleast sub osimhen out early on. I mean a supposed world class striker can't be this bad in front of goal now

SE can't afford to be profligate vs SA . These guys havenconfidence in their goalie and would be looking to drag into penalties

I know insults would start pouring in soon. I am ready

Osimhen needs to work on his ball control because its disastrous. I watched the match with a Nigerian co worker and whenever the ball was passed to Osimhen he lost possession like 90% of the time. Very very poor. The opponents have already figured out he has very poor ball control and will use pressure to dispossess him.

That goal Lookman scored if it was Osimhen it would be 50-50. Pressing and charging is good but he is a striker and must do his job.

And I think that's the problem with Nigerians. They are too emotional and sentimental in everything they do which affects their judgment. Look at how tribalism brought a criminal and incompetent Tinubu to power and today everyone is suffering and my phone lines are blowing up.

Yes, Osimhen has been very poor not just by not scoring but also his ball control and hold up is very poor. I a bit disappointed although I still rate and believe in him. He is too predictable. If I was a defender playing against him he will never touch the ball because its obvious he has poor ball control.

Osimhen is exhausted. JPes does not have the boldness of Westerhof who threw in Amunike in the final of Afcon 94 notwithstanding the fact that Amunike had not played any match before that time. Amunike was talismanic - he delivered by scoring two goals.

In 2000 semi against SA, Bonfrere Joe who moved Tijani to the right. First half, we knack them two.

Osimhen is tired.

I don't think it'll be wise for Peseiro to bench Osimhen.

Nigerians will come for his head, if he does that.

You made it sound as if Osimhen is the one carrying the team. I just want him substituted when he is burned out.

You're talking as if you don't know Nigerians. If Peseiro should dare bench Osimhen, then that's tantamount to kissing his job as the Super Eagles coach goodbye.

Another outcome is that they both could concede and end their clean sheet run. One will just have to concede more than the other.

I don't think he should be benched but take him off when he is tired and bring in Moffi. I don't really rate Onuachu

I doubt we're going to see Moffi play, unless we're in need of goals. Onuachu's job is to hold up play up front and waste as much time as possible.

Nope

Tbh, I even predicted the SE to leave in the group stages

But think about it. Do you think osimhen would've scored that lookman's goal against Angola?

He would be too eager and would baloon it over the top bar. I've noticed that about him

Hustle can I ly take you to a certain point and after that m, as a striker you would need to be clinical. If he does this nonsense in the PL, he would be benched after 2 games irrespective of how much was spent to buy him. He is even a black man again and they won't have as much patience. Ask nunes that's even south American.

You people should talk true.nobody will shoot you. Odimhen has been wack this tourney. Even Gift orban will score most of those chances he missed you can't tell me that KC Nacho isn't a better finisher or doesn't have better most off the ball

You people should remove sentiments. SA game is one where the SE can't afford to miss chances . Their defence is equally disciplined.no wahala. Na here we dey

Someone dropped a post here how the SE have created the lost big chances of any team despite not even playing an attacking style of football and psimhen as SE top 9 can only convert 1 yet Nigerians should just keep quiet and.manage it like that. Omo make una rest!!

Even Drogba would not play this bad for a long stretch of games. You think if he continues like this, even Chelsea would want him? Dey play grin grin cheesy

That's the problem cheesy.

The funny thing is, the people who'll criticize him if he should bench Osimhen are the same people who'll criticize him if he starts Osimhen and hesitates to sub him off when he's obviously gassed out, just like in the last match.

Damned if he does; Damned if he doesn't.

I'll suggest he starts him as usual and leave Nigerians to complain about him being gassed out. That's a better burden to carry than losing his job because he benched Osimhen.

Man, I must say your football knowledge is below par.

Osimhen is the major boost in our attack,
goals or no goals. Go and make your research. The proof is there.

"He is super deadly!", as a commentator would say. And if you dont know, every other team has this in the back of their mind that's why he's the most marked among all our players and this pulls focus to him. I've lost count of how many times commentators have exclaimed this.

Do you think a sane coach/player will be foolish enough to overlook him just because he's not scoring goals? Leave him and you pay for it!

He's one of the few players (Three of them I'd say) that has made this team this dangerous and high in confidence.

You think it's Peseiro?or you think it's our defense alone? Lol

Victor isn't scoring goals which is not good but this guy bullies defenders and frees up space! for others... most especially Lookman.

He is involved in most of the goals, aren't you watching the games?!

I won't explain further... If you don't grasp, that's your problem.

Nigeria made Osimhen not the other way around. Again, Osimhen needs to up his game. He has been poor in front of goal and his ball control needs serious work
