Speaking with a few SA fans, and they sound very confident of defeating the Super Eagles.

8 out of the first 11 in that SA team are starters at the number one club in SA, Mamelodi Sundowns., something similar to the Spanish side that won the world cup in 2010.

Anyway, make the eagles jus dey clinical with the few chances they may get, Defence no get problem, and we hardly play midfield game.

You mean Sundowns is better than Fulham?? Do you know that a player in Fulham can pay the salary of all Sundowns players. hian!!! Who throw me stone Anyways we have a date with destiny. In someone's voice, Best players always play in best clubs and also earn bigger salaries. So why should I fret unless PSL is better than Greece League. Premiership, Seria A, Ligue1, & Liga Portugal all combined.

No coach is going to come into the public domain and say one of his players is not match fit.
But the paper you pulled said he stated that.

So why are you contradicting yourself?

ten hag said Sancho was not training to standard, poch said noni and mudryk were not training up to standard but you feel no coach can come and say one of his players is not match fit. Funny guy
I just read that his write up and just smmmh. Already I know there are 3 players which he is always ready to write anything to denigrate them.
1) Kel Nwakali
2) Kel Iheanacho
3) Vic Osimhen.
Osimhen just shut him up finally with last season's performance. Now na corner side talk him dey use on him.
But you see the 2 Kels, sometimes it go remain to make him us razor cut himself on top their matter. So just jump and pass. He showed where Maresca said his own. You showed where Peseiro said his own. And in his small mind no coach will say that his player is not fit. But Maresca already said Nacho is not fit. Is Maresca a plumber?? But come to think of it. A coach can say things to keep his player back. Or that one no follow??

I think we are getting this wrong. All it takes for South africa to beat us is a mistake at the back which they can capitalize on and then we start chasing games. Notice that in this tournament, we are yet to come back from behind apart from the Equatorial Guinea match. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Ask or rather pray that our strikers take their chances when they need to. Enough of game management ideas. If you have 8 chances, bury 7. That's the only way to come out on tips.

To be saying SA can't beat us will be a very bad and condescending way to approach our game. Let's not forget they beat us 2 nil in Uyo... star studded or not.
"We are yet to come back from behind apart from the Equatorial Guinea match"

Then proceeds to forget no one has scored against us since then

The same South Africa we have seen so far? Guy na dem dey lucky to be in the semis pass us. Morocco underrated them and Cape Verde was just unlucky.

Talking about chances, anybody expecting a high-scoring game in the semis of an Afcon is not realistic, Yes in 2013 we beat Mali 4-1 but with the standard of this Afcon haba, e no easy like that. At this stage, it's more of mental toughness and awareness. The better side will win whether it's SA or us but with the mental strength our boys are showing, they can go all the way.

suddenly one nonsense plastic fans/badwisher here has turn to someone giving us advice to bench osimhen so we can win…we played EQG, he said CIV will beat us, we beat CIV he said GNB, imagine ooo GNB will beat us, and we wont cross group stage, we advanced he came with dirty mouth saying cameroon will send us packing, we pursue the pepper nation…he now realized that his bad belle is already becoming unnecessary noise…Now you are telling us to bench osimhen so we can be scoring goal…Na tiger 🐅 go chop your fingers…you better go back to your cave with and be watching like your brothers guSTARVE and AFONSHI..cos those ones are currently loosing weight in their waiting cave.

Yes we were. Last AFCON. We played sweet sexy football and smashed all the teams in our group with ease. Without Osimhen.

We would have beaten Tunisia too had Okoye not had his moment of madness.

Check all the games we fumbled recently or struggled to score. Whether against Ghana or our loss to Guinea Bissau in Abuja. Osimhen played.
And also Against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, osimhen played 90mins na that we were unable to score.

It should be an eye opener as to the capabilities of our striker especially considering the fact that we have had more big chances than any other team.

Osimhen has not performed well in this tourney and the coach should try another striker, preferably Moffi. Simple and short.

The CF role is not all about pressing. Positional awareness and clinicality in front of goal should be considered in selecting a striker.

Yall dont lose any sleep with southy. They cannot escape the trashing.

I don't see anyone that can handle osimhen in that defense. We never even talk luqman.

As for ivory coast. We beat them before. We beat them again. They are not special.

The problem is not in having anyone that can't handle Oshimen in southy defense.

The big question is will osihmen score? Dude can miss a one on one with a goal keeper.

He is not clinical or a finisher only good in assist. If not for Lookman we would've been home by now

The analysis i will read and agree to here is “sub osimhen at 70something for Iheanacho or Moffi”.
i dont just know why people are just unnecessarily looking for ways to distrupt a winning formation and winning team….what is this scoring goals scoring goals bla bla bla you guys are using to “deafen our eyes”…must osimhen score to satisfy una soccer urge?.
can u guys just keep staying behind the team and support the winning formula..heey wey scored 2goals against cameroon oo…una want make osimhen bury all the chances and so we can lift Afcon with all our games ending 4-0, 5-0, 3-0…abeg make una go sit down one place…ighalo score 5goals and branch to bronze medal…oh oh because hes the African best he must be leading the scoring chart?🤣…All the Angola,EQG,CPV,Gha, that score 20goals where are they…all this people here dont know the meaning of we winning our 4th Afcon ooo…all these yeye excuses holds no water at all…peseiro wants to by all means bully his way to the final una dey find make them bench osimhen for moffi….where was all these players against lesotho and zimbabwe..why them no score 5-0 and 4-0 in those games?
Na until them start Iheanacho and Moffi then we score goals and stil jah to 3rd place una body go calm

You always wish evil against the Super Eagles.

Benching Osimhen during knockout stages will be a foolish move because it's Onuachu the coach will start and Onuachu doesn't play as if he wants to score goals.

It should have been tested in the group stages.

I wanted to see a fully energetic Osimhen come on in the 2nd as a sub against tired defenders in the 55th- 60 mins mark and see his impact as a substitute.

Because once Osimhen loses his energy and stamina in the 2nd half the Super Eagles attack dies off and with Onuachu as his replacement the SE is toothless.

Please someone should tell JPES to bring on Yusuf and Onyedika.

Aribo at worst should come on for Osimhen because once Aribo comes on as a midfielder the SE loses control of the midfield.

I don't believe Pasiero is that smart to rewatch matches and get matches analysis spot on.

No sound coach will keep putting in Aribo. Dude is not fit for afcon

Well Pasiero has never won a trophy in his life so he is been careful to at least win one with the super eagles

You people need to chill... This is tournament football not league football.. Osimhen missing chances is painful, but he has contributed a lot to our victories as much as anyone else in the team... Scored against Equatorial Guinea, won a PK against CIV, forced an own goal against Guinea Bissau, Assisted the goal against Cameroon, and I dare say, his pace and ability to draw defenders to him helped free Lookman for that goal vs Angola..

My own problem is Peseiro's reluctancy to sub him off earlier... He looked clearly tired against Angola..

Mhennnn, in all we do, our game against SA shouldn’t go to penalties because of that Williams.

The werey saved 4 penalties and the werey still has 4 clean sheets so far. 😅😅

Reminds me of enyeama that saved 4 PKs in the QF game against Tunisia in 2006.
No be still third we carry?

Nooo. I saw that clip before the match against Angola and he was not depressed. He looked overwhelmed. The clip was not made after the Angolan match.

And maidaboi is right. Our attackers are our first line of defense. That's why you see Lookman, Osimhen and Moses playing as our front three because they defend from the front in the name of attacking. JPes has said it several times and I watched a video where Iwobi said that the attackers are the first defenders.

Moses Simon in his post match upon accepting the MOTM award was asked if Osimhen is disturbed about not scoring goals and he said that Osimhen is not. That they are focused on the success of the team not on this or that individual getting goals.
Thank you

Osimhen also defend corners very well

Oga no no....Osimhen right now is not happy, just a goal to get his mojo back and getting that goal against South Africa would be perfectly for him.....all he needs to do is to calm down and do it with ease.

I saw a camp clip after Angola match,he looked dejected and Iwobi wrapped his hands around him.

Osimhen is a fighter and if you believe he is happy so far with his performance then you are wrong.

This clip was from after the Cameroon match actually, not the Angola one, and he was returning from that doping test.

He looked overwhelmed, not dejected. And it would make sense that he was overwhelmed because he has just put up a strong performance that has the stadium chanting his name.

He was emotional because he was quite possibly overwhelmed by how much love he got.
