Goke7: I don't even care so much about Osimhen scoring or not. Players like that find their scoring boots at the unlikeliest of times. I am happy about the work he does to create goal opportunities. For instance, the pass he gave to Lookman in the Cameroon game, that goal was from his sheer grit, and then the goal Lookman scored against Angola mainly happened because Osimhen dragged along 3 Angolan defenders that were marking him and this opened Lookman. Distractions like that also play a role in games. It is easier to score when defenders are not marking you. 13 Likes 1 Share |

No point changing a winning team at the semi finals. Only thing Iād say is we need to sub out our players when they get tired. A fully charged Moffi for 20 mins is better than a tired Osimhen for 20 mins. The time to have experimented was in our friendlies before AFCON or even in the last 30 mins against EQG. Two 1-0 wins will bring us the title but of course, weād all want a larger margin of victory. |

Moniter0: I am not asking for Oshimen to be benched but his energy should be preserved in 70-80mins substitute him for Moffi. Moffi is not that bad and will start for any of the 3 teams in this semis. A striker of his calibre is can replace a tired Oshimen for 20mins and play well. Why keep bringing in Aribo that offer nothing to the midfield even Onyedika is way better |

Curtisaxel17: Maybe the level of the competition has improved. We are still not bad. Out of the last four teams, SE has 6 goals. Congo 6, South Africa 6 ( scored in 2 of their 5 matches), Ivory coast has 5 goals so far. These teams are all in semi finals. Even at 2019 AFCON, we only scored 7 goals at semi final stage, and conceded 5. 7 Likes |

Joezinho:Can you point out anyone that said the defenders are bad... We're talking about the attack last time I checked. I bet you even lookman wouldn't cherish the idea of victor sitting on the bench because he knows what the benefits of his off-ball movements and workrate. You guys are not getting it. 1. some fans are having this pride of should osimhen not be scoring?, our African best, a whole african best. i think i can still reason with those fans(but then calm down its football and the guy is 100% active in al our games) 2. some fans here are just nothing but having beef for the guy, not really that they are not happy he is not scoringā¦they are very happy is not scoring..so that they can rub it on peoples faces that āi told you that guy na otu strikerā Lastly if you never believed the team will get this far just dont come and give us any ekuke analysis ir suggestionsā¦ just wait if we win the Afcon, divert your bad energy and attention to world cup and keep wishing the team badā¦then if we sadly or unluckily lose to SA you can come out and laugh at us and say āi told you guys your eagles are fraud and carpenters āā¦for now the Association of super eagles fans dont need your dry opinion 11 Likes 1 Share |

At this stage of the Afcon all the teams have been training together for close to a month; that means the football is now almost like club football. The team with the best players will win at this stage 8 out of 10 times barring unfortunate events like red cards and injuries to key players. That is why all the "underdogs" doing initial gra gra have been eliminated. Do a South Africa/ Nigeria combined Eleven... Only the south African goal keeper will probably get in the team; we have the better players hands down, training together for almost a month! South Africa will need a miracle to drag us into penalty shoot outs which is a lottery.... That's the only way they stand a chance of winning. 12 Likes |

komekn:Before you write epistle Osimhen is like Rashidi in terms of footballing abilities abi Rashidi has technique? Can't even remember Rashidi dribbling that much. Osimhen has just been profligate. It has nothing to do "black African muscle". And please quit this narrative about "black African muscle" which feeds into a certain stereotype of African football being all brawns and little brains. This Afcon has shown that African teams play technical and tactical football. The Cameroon you hyped up as the archetypical jam-body team did not even play that way at all. We even bested them physically and booted them out. So catch up with the reality and forget this your washed out trope about African football. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

i sat in the viewing centre on Friday in our match vs Angola,i met a particular and typical Nairaland ekuke fans screaming āthis our boys are F**king slow in build up and transition, Iwobi is rubbish midfielder always slowing game pace for usā bla bla bla, i confronted him and told him āGuy farabale!!! Guy resst!!ā¦do you expect Nigeria to be running kitikiti katakata with the pacey angolans?ā¦so as they are running at us we should be running back at them?ā na so we dey argue as we carry eyes up Iwobi don throw long pass that connect Moses Simon and boom weve scoredā¦na so baba shut up!. Like can we just chill and understand that we are not the best team in the world? and that we have a formula thats pulling us to a direction of success? 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Emmy450:If the south African goalie was so good that he's sure of saving four penalties in one match why is he playing in South Africa? The very first time I played betting I won the "ticket". In fact there was a day I played four "tickets" same day which I won three of them. But for the past four months I haven't won one bet slip! And this is despite the fact that I even intensified my forecast and increased the amount of bet slips I play at a go. This is equivalent to penalty shootouts. It's 90% luck I didn't say 100%. 3 Likes |

The year France won the world cup, Giroud was the starting striker yet he didn't have a single shot on target. No be so? Some people need to differentiate between tournament and league. In a tournament, all that matters is to progress till you get the cup. Nothing matters more than to win the match. There are some players you just can't bench anyhow and Osimhen is one. My issue is the coach not subbing him off whenever he is tired. He already run down the opponent's defence for like 70 minutes. Bring in Moffi who is equally fast. 11 Likes 3 Shares |
