I can say categorically that the delay has to do with pricing, they are being careful on how the market will react to the prices, any pricing higher than the current price of diesel and aviation fuel will make Nigerians skeptic about the benefit of the refinery and will dash hope of a reduction in petrol price when the refinery begins petrol production

APC need to explain why they rush the commissioning of this refinery when they knew it was far from ready for commissioning. They just wasted money and raised people's hope on nothing.

They did not raise people's hope but raised the confused Nigerians hope. Only you that is confused and don't have a sense of reasoning that your hope will be raised by such things

Nonsense propaganda

The idiots should have said they don't have the equipments to test the products, so they sent the products to USA for testing. That would have made little sense for their propaganda than this rubbish statement.

How long do you think it will take to get the product to the US, test it and send back results and interpretation?

Less than it would have taken to be done in Nigeria actually.

delay in getting the refined products to the market
When you talk of a delay that implies a schedule
Delays are measurable e.g a woman's pregnancy is supposed to be 9 months
So if it is 10 months old we can say there is a one month delay
Did Dangote agree a schedule with any one and by that schedule how long is the delay?

How can dangote have license to be producing diesel and aviation fuel yet they don't have the license to produce fuel that the masses consume most.

I know you understand Nigeria terms. Testing here, means negotiations. All government petroleum agencies and even those from the presidency will go negotiate their own pie of the cake before go ahead will be given. That's who we are.

The report stated that Africa’s largest refinery’s move to import crude from the US was a sign of just how competitive American barrels had become in the global market.

The multi-billion dollar refinery, according to Bloomberg at the time, was also expecting two million barrels of crude oil from Trafigura Group in February.

The report stated that Trafigura Group sold two million barrels of WTI Midland to Dangote refinery for end-February delivery.

It said this was disclosed by traders with knowledge of the matter, adding that it was the first time that the giant refinery had purchased non-Nigerian crude.

Trafigura is a multinational commodity trading company headquartered in Singapore, with major hubs in various locations including Geneva, Houston, Montevideo and Mumbai. The group participates in the oil and petroleum products market.

They primarily trade in base metals and energy, including oil, and also other commodities like minerals and metals. They have activities involving US oil as a globally focused company.

Dangote refinery can load 2,900 trucks a day at its truck-loading gantries. The products from the refinery will conform to Euro V specifications, according to its management.

I did not say shares, I said share. They're not the same. Out of the $19 billion required, fg invested about $3 billion cash and some amount of crude.

Fg own some stake in the Dangote refinery

don't you think the refined products should have been in the market by now, or you think Dangote refines to store the products in the refinery. Pricing of these refined petroleum products is strategic and can be volatile. Things have to be carefully thought out, the commercial side and the economic impact have to be weighed. Petroleum products especially petrol is at the heart of Nigeria's economy

He has the license to produce all. He has just chosen to start with Diesel and Jet A1 for obvious reasons, cos petrol still has a subsidy, despite what NNPC and FG keep saying.

Thinking has to be based on data or information

What many of you call. THINKING is not thinking
It is some type of emotional or sentimental brain activity but it is not thinking

So definitely I WISH the product is in the market and HOPE it makes life easier for suffering Nigerians

What I do not have is any data or information on which to base a claim that there is delay.

We need to learn basic logic and apply it in our lives

Hahahahahaha... Let's continue to deceive ourselves in this country. We go dey alright. Ordinarily these delays wouldn't really concern the citizens seeing that it's a private business but then let's remember the NNPC who have somehow refused to revamp or build new refineries hold a reasonable stake in the refinery
What exactly is your point bro?
