Thanks chief.
Been trying to create a similar thread.

However,we say NO to this horrendous reform. It is tantamount to modern day slavery.
After spending 4-7 years with rigorous practice, without breaks during semesters in Nigeria, plus the exorbitant fees we had to pay during our training. We deserve better.
Do you know some nurses are offered 30k monthly salary? after spending millions in schools and for professional exams.

We need your voices and support.

We thought that has always been in place

No,it has not. They proposed it for Doctors last year, they backed down. Now they are test running with Nurses.Instead of addressing the reason, they want to keep nurses behind and in penury, separate families.

It is more like the country keeps training nurses at cheaper costs only for our nurses to be used for another country while our health system is left comatose.

And yet again the government fails to address the primary reason why these health workers always tend to japa. Never seen a government so clueless about governance like the APC. Damn

Many are japaing because they want to be called foreign based because they are feeling inferior to those who left—- so it is a welcome development by the government- even 2 years too small if na me dey make that decision - na 5 years before they can practice abroad- at least gain experience and give back to Nigeria that provided you cheap education

To qualify as a Nurse in the USA the debt you will rack up is up to $50,000 student loans but in Nigeria you owe nothing- yet u cant give anything back ? thats very selfish

Na because them no dey pay tax for Nigeria na him make body dey catch them- In some countries IF you live abroad and you want to buy properties you pay extra taxes

Even as an American citizen wether naturalized or born in the USA if you make up to $100,000 a year in any country you live in, you must pay taxes to the American government or the IRS will come after you for tax evasion. Its the duty of every citizen wherever you are to pay taxes to the government not just to go online and start bashing Nigeria 🇳🇬

Nigeria need to tax those overseas even if na 1% of our earnings - yes make us pay taxes - let us vote too and make us able to run for office too easily

thats how we can build our revenue base and develop Nigeria - imagine how much taxes diasporans will remit to Nigeria in a year - even if it is 1% tax of our annual earnings

Just like what I wrote on Instagram a while ago

I support this 100 percent. Infact they should make it ten years sef . The same with Doctors and Dentists. This should however be mostly applicable to graduates of government tertiary institutions funded through subsided education

However the government should also do better for medical personnel in Nigeria. Increase their pay and employ more hands not this nonesense government does every now and then

Lol..
1.How do you separate one from the other?
2. On what salary?Nurse should be paid 30k
3.Did your govt pay for my professional examination, licensure, certification, indexing and others too?
4.Are you even aware we pay professional fees annually which they termed as training fee?
5. Is it only nurses and medical personnels that are trained in government funded schools?
What about engineers, lawyers,Agric, linguist, and all other departments? But then only nurses should stay behind.

You don't have to be bitter you know

I'll be polite sir.
Now let me educate you so you can stop fooling yourself online. For the sake of your unborn kids.
If you trained outside Nigeria like in aukraine,Ghana,Togo,Benin etc.
You attend their university, after which they confer you a degree called BNSc(bachelor of nursing science)
What you have is a university certificate.
Before you can practice, you need a professional certification called RN (Registered Nurse).
Now after completing your university program, you will come back to you country and sit for the examination which is scheduled by your country regulatory body.If you pass, you will be verified(You'll enter their register as a nurse),you can practice. Also,if you want to travel out, your country will attest to it that you're in their register and not a fraud.

That all.
Now,run along and stop constituting nuisance.

Please do not allow any obstacle disrupt you from your destiny . If you have an opportunity to relocate abroad, please do so. With dedication, perseverance and the will of the Almighty, you will excel. Do not listen to these never do wells, who have no plans for the youths except to exploit and emasculate them . They can go to blazes with their approval . Start afresh and continue to educate and open your mind, body and soul in acquiring new skill set . Best of luck , and please never ever give up on yourselves. You will surely get there, nobody can stop you from getting to your own promise land .

you are the one who is thinking lopsided here

things dont work things dont work, have you asked yourself why Nigerians have a nonchalant attitude in holding the government accountable? because Nigerians mostly do not pay taxes so they think whenever government builds one school in a whole year the governor must be praised and thanked for being the savior but when you pay taxes you demand to see what the taxes are used for

If Nigerians in diaspora pay even 1% taxes of their earnings annually , do you think they wont hold the government accountable when they INEC rig elections ? when they embezzle funds? the citizens becomes hyper active because they are the ones funding the government

this is why people do not know their duties as citizens- they see themselves as subjects of the state because they dont know what their rights are privileges are - when you pay, you make demands - and thats how society works

Your last paragraph ought to have come before your first...!

Subsidized education or not, every worker is worthy of his wage... Why underpay them while embezzling so much?!

I am not bitter but telling you that which is the truth.

We are having a massive wave of health care personal who attended almost free tuition education leaving almost immediately. Yet if the government decides to remove subsidy on education it is you people that will cry the most

A whole lot of Nigerians won't be able to afford tertiary education if the subsidy on education is removed. A whole lot.

Now they give you subsidy on education and immediately you're done you claim Nigeria is this and that

P.S. I mentioned government inadequacies too and said they should increase payment and emuloments for health workers, recruit more and fix the sector

But you claiming because health workers are paid so and so in Europe and America is why you are leaving almost the same. Did the health workers in Europe and America pay the same as you paid in Nigeria for Education?

Capital NO.

Most of them even took student loans that the pay for years.

The government is even magnanimous for making it 2 years. I would have made it 10

I think I asked a question sir.Whichnyoyve dodged.
So lemme reiterate it again.
Is it only health workers that are trained with subsidized education?
If not,Why then should it be only health workers that should be stopped from migrating?
2.What about those that attended private institution, foreign university?
Is it subsidized too? Cos I will tell you I have individuals schooling in Niger,Benin,Togo,Ghana,Ukraine and they have to come back for professional licensure. Now is their education subsidized too?
If you can provide intelligent answers to this sir and not dodge it again, you'll forever have my respect.
