Sir, why not open Seme border as a cushion effect for the subsidy removal, maybe just for a year. The two policies are good but the aftermath effect is too harsh, Nigerians need a serious cushion. If you open Seme border, some of the criminals may engage in meaningful jobs like loading and offloading of food items. |

If you remember what happened to COVID palliatives, you'll know that the food will end up in politicians' warehouses to be sold afterwards. |

Malroux:Look, where I stay at, assuring the PDP era, the sharing of party largesse was grand.....when APC took over, all you'd notice is the crowd and after decades later the groan of discontentment from sluggish walking members causing the food stuff they received.... I'm not surprised it occurred during COVID era and now when the Palliatives were to be shared. This one will go the same way........unles |

Good one. Busy at the same time, the FG needs to role out donor initiatives/projects that will hasten production in the shortest term possible. In all security is vital. High time these sponsors of insecurity are put to the sword. |

Nemere2020:I really do not understand this man and his Government. Is it that he is too daft to understand the situation on ground or is he just being a sadistic old pringle. How does using national food reserves affect the price and availability of food in the long term, is there anyone who does not know that this inflation is tied to our stubborn reliance on crude oil and its products for running our economy. We can guess the outcome of this food sharing charade, governors and their errand boys will hoard the lot for their own political aims while the common Nigerian only sees the food on TV and on social media. By the way, the food reserves, are they limitless? What happens next when they run out? When APC and some ill-advised Yoruba activists were claiming that Tinubu built Lagos, what exactly did he do? Because what we are witnessing is a massive failure never ever seen before in the history of any democracy |

Beremx:Aptly put, they can't!!! Despite the fact that foreign rice is still being sold, the local one ain't surplus above our needs, let's now imagine there is no foreign rice. Govt should open the borders for importation of rice as soon as possible...whatever they claim to be giving out won't be enough, and only few will get it, Moreover, how many days will it even last |
| Re: Tinubu Orders Release Of Food Reserves To Boost Availability by lexy2014: 8:44pm On Feb 08, 2024 |
