I don't even get how we are so wicked to each other. If you put the price at 600k even though it's still too high, you won't die. But no, let's milk Nigerians even more by selling 900k. Na God go judge unah. As for the other id.i.ots selling at over 1m, your ill-acquired profit won't benefit you in this world or the next. So angry right now.

Hey guys. Tried to get the Starlink kit from the website, and got the following message:

Starlink is at capacity in your area and expects to expand service in your area in 2024. Order now to reserve your Starlink. You will receive a notification once your Starlink is ready to ship.

Looking at going ahead to get from a reseller. Will performance be affected?

Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by aieromon(m): 7:31am On Feb 09
Elon Muskโ€™s Starlink has authorised TD Africa, Nigeriaโ€™s technology distribution firm, to distribute Starlink kits in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

TD Africa, founded over 24 years ago, will distribute Starlink Internet Kits across Nigeria. It has over 27 global companies including Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Cisco, Hewlett Packard, Dell Technologies, Samsung, Huawei, Nokia, Lenovo, Asus, and many more.

Speaking, TD Africaโ€™s Coordinating Managing Director, Mrs. Chioma Chimere, highlighted the synergy between TD Africaโ€™s experience as a leading distributor of technology and business solutions and Starlinkโ€™s commitment to transforming how the world accesses the internet.

She expressed excitement about the growth opportunities this agreement presents across the continent while emphasising TD Africaโ€™s mission to provide accessible, affordable, and usable Internet solutions to individuals and businesses.

This transformative agreement signals a new era for Internet access in Africa, with Starlink and TD Africa leading the charge in providing innovative and reliable solutions to meet the evolving needs of the digital economy.

Like you I once considered buying from the so called resellers. But now that I know better, I would rather die than buy from those armed robbers. I have placed my order and if it takes forever, let it be so. I have survived without them for years, even waiting a year won't kill me. No way I would cough out 900k and give to those bandits parading themselves as resellers when in fact they are actually criminals.

If you have anyone outside Lagos, try using their address to order, then you change to your own address, that's how I sub after canceling though. Just saying

Ibawon, this isn't a good advise. As far as I know, once your location or your Starlink hexagonal map reaches capacity, there's no way to change your service address to any address within that hexagonal map, unless outside of it, which doesn't always work.

In fact, the error below is what you will get if you try doing so.

Yes Boss, I meant outside, I changed my address to somewhere in Ogun then back to Lagos after paying for my subscription.

Boss no need to complain, if you can't afford it you can always buy from starlink directly. It's less than 20units left out of the 100pcs that landed on Tuesday. People are buying bulk n reselling up north, south south & in some African countries.

Your message is loud and clear; I shouldn't complain since the buyers aren't complaining. No wahala, I won't complain again.

But I will say this you are part of our problems in this country.

Bear it at the back of your mind that there's going to be an accountability in this life or next. On the long-run, people who rip-off others eventually lose.

Enjoy your sales and ripping-off of your desperate customers.

When you source $$ to buy in bulk from the US, pay taxes and heavy shipping fee at current rate. Then you'll tell me if I'm the one being wicked or the problem of the country. Oh you think I'm buying from Normal starlink website? I have over 100 nins to process orders? I'm using one card to buy my stock n starlink would allow that? Use your head Chief, stop acting silly.

When Starlink says, the service is at full capacity in your area, it means there is no more satellites available to serve starlink dishes in that area. So even if you buy from a third party, it is waste of money. There is no satellite in your area again for your dish to communicate with. The way starlink works is that each dish is allocated to a number of satellites it communicates with. And each satellite has a maximum number of dish it can serve. So when you hear that starlink is at full capacity in your area, it means no more satellites available to serve your dish. Every other satellite in that area has been allocated to people. You will have to hold on till Starlink launches new satellites to that area that can serve you
