These GRA Chinese people, look like tourists and people that just came to enjoy naija, but they stay long and look like butter.

Collectively, Nigeria is not redeemable as it stands. The curse of bad rudderless leadership and followers alike will not cease anytime soon. But, I do not agree that japa is the solution to self emancipation.

Nigerian Politicians and billionaires children are here with us , why not keep them in Nigeria
They school and live abroad.
Bro I never imagined that I will ever relocate. Nigeria too sweet, but I was lucky to have a change of mind and escape this Tinubu regime.
What I have achieved in a short while I can’t or couldn’t have achieved it driving bolt.
I’ve seen people loose jobs in Nigeria and not able to get a new job for the past 13/15 years.
I’m not asking for too much just basics… leave a comfortable and progressive life not up today and down tomorrow.

Those billionaires, they made their money in Nigeria not through japa. So they can afford to send their kids out there to school. Their children accomodation and all other expenses are well funded from home. It's not the same with a poor man that will sell everything he has to travel out, especially those that get visa through school route with no sponsor, some go with their wife/husband and children (Suffering amplified).

If you don't have a special type of skill or a programme that gives you a permanent stay, forget it. Na another type of suffering you go meet for there. It's only a PR that is worth it. Anything other than that, you are better off doing Bolt or any other business in Nigeria and working your way up.

Like I said before, collectively, Nigeria failed us but it doesn't mean that people cannot rise up on individual basis to better themselves at home..

That's not true.. The western world gives you a fair playing ground than your home country especially if you have some level of education before leaving Nigeria.

The housing scenario in Canada is from the aftermaths of money laundering.. foreigners buy real estate in Canada with ill gotten wealth. This forces the prices upwards ditto for rentals.
Government of Canada has placed restrictions on foreigners buying property recently.

Driving Bolt shoud be a stop-gap.....

It's tough doing business in Nigeria.
Govt policies are not consistent.. look at the Agric play in Niger, govt is saying no trucks are allowed to buy in bulk anymore, though they might have a point in protecting the masses, but what about the investor (farmer ) who can only make profits by selling in Bulk ( most agric produce are perishable)... are they encouraging or discouraging production.?

Interesting but I have to laugh at the bolded. The idea of a fair playing ground is a myth. As a migrant, your access to many things are limited. Go there with a visitor's visa, try to work with it and see if you will have access to anything, not even a place to rent even if you have the money. Do you know how many Nigerians that are in shelters and makeshift houses in Canada? Need I mention those in basements? Where's the fair ground that you are talking about? They are barely living over there and are struggling to survive, take my word for it. Only those with PR and specialized skills live an average normal life. Same with UK. Don't even mention US lol.

As per doing business in Nigeria, it may seem hard but it all depends on the line of business you choose to go into. There are many businesses one can do here and get by. Bolt isn't even one of it. Why waste so much to get visa, travel out to live a mediocre life when you can invest the money in Nigeria and increase your worth within a couple of years? It doesn't make sense. Where are you running to when your country is not at war?

Truth is there's worldwide economic meltdown and inflation, though not to the level of Nigeria. It doesn't mean that businesses have stopped thriving People still cash out. The point I was trying to make is that it's not always greener on the other side. The picture being painted of Canada and all these other places is different from reality on ground.

Bolt supporters.

The app gives you ride 15-18min drive away.

(Still not showing out of radius).

If you don’t pick , score drops

If you pick you’re not paid for long drives.

And trip is still cheap about 1,500 -3k.

What makes it the best app again?

What’s the purpose of having plenty rides but no profit or left over fuel?

You are not being fair and objective with your views. Let's take the points individually.

Visa
Why will they offer you work with a visitors visa..? As a visitor, you don't need to work because in your application, the visitor should have funds to take care of his/her expenses.

A family man will feed his own household first before handing goodies to outsiders. That's what developed climes do in terms of immigrants. You can't work if you have not been profiled to contribute (pay tax) to the system .

The same thing happened when US tech companies downsized last year, those on H2B Visa (immigrants) were given a 2 months notice. Get another job ( so that you can pay tax and contribute to the system) or leave United states. I know 2 guys personally who are in the States and they are doing fine and they are not tech guys.

Fairness.
Tope Awotona is worth over 1 billion dollars.. He is 42 years old.., very young by Nigerian standards. He is the richest Nigerian-American living in the US.
He was born and bred in Lagos. He was a teenager in Lagos, he left as an immigrant to the United States. Today, the fair system has made him what he is today.

I doubt it ,if he would become a Dollar billionaire if he remained in Lagos.(how many dollar billionaires are in Lagos presently ), there are thousands of such individuals who left Nigeria as immigrants and the system has created a fair playing ground for them to become people of value. Please don't discount United States or those who have plans to go there.

Wages in UK have always been low. Right from the 90s .. but even if you consider purchasing parity.
A minimum wage worker overthere in the UK still fares better than the same minimum wage worker here. This is not about having millions..
Those in makeshift houses /basements don't tell you the full story as regards their finances.
This is a public forum, let's not cast the format.

Good evening house, please i need help. My car is honda civic 2008 model. Last year when i engage my gear to either drive or reverse, the car would start shaking and making sound, it was later discover that the fault is a faulty adjuster belt which i change by buying complete belt adjuster but still yet the signs and symptoms continue so my mechanic advise i remove the adjuster belt completely which he did and bought a shorter belt. After this i stop experiencing those noise and the shakes or vibrations but my belt easily worn out and woulf be making squeak noise. So now have decided again to go back to my belt adjuster cos driving without the adjuster is affecting even my battery, today i bought a new adjuster and also the symptoms of the vibration when engage in drive or reverse resurface.
Please house i am looking for a solution if anyone have please give me on how to stop the vibration when engage in drive and reverse, thanks

Like I said so many things changed after Covid , this generation of jappa is different. Why do you think countries are tightening their immigration law and borders ? Cause once you are in and you don’t commit any crime you are going to integrate into the system with time.
Do you know that they now give non immigrant & out of status drivers license.
Did you hear what happened to Florida construction coy when the Governor passed a law that didn’t favor foreigners (illegal immigrants ) ?
You think they don’t know people are doing under the table jobs ?

My encouragement is to Uber drivers, I will rather they drive Uber abroad and sleep in their cars than to keep driving in Tinubu’s Nigeria.
