Yes, everybody is Roosevelt when they are out of power. They will use their mouth to say they’ll turn Nigeria to Vegas but when they get to power, they understand no be child play.

Tinubu is your president, your denial don’t mean jacck. If he raise fuel price, you buy it at that rate. If Naira is 2000 to the $$, that’s how much you exchange it.

Criticize his policy as a citizen and stop stressing your brain by thinking he can be removed.

But there's a consensus that even as clueless as he was, Buhari is head and shoulders above your god in terms of performance. Even you typing, I wonder if you've eaten and how you manage with 30k/month zombie work?

Lol. Ebi n pa mi gidi gan. Happy now? Per Buhari, we know those who rate a man who has totally changed the security dynamics of Nigeria, to the extent non-Nigerians are in our nation killing our people with ease, above Tinubu who has been in power for 9 months.

Nothing you irredeemable haters will not say, and no lie you will not tell, to try and oust Tinubu for your failed "Yes Daddy" messiah.

Only god-forsaken haters will deny what Afenifere alleges below in attempt to whitewash the image of Buhari, who damaged Nigeria almost irreparably for 8 years, to then claim Tinubu, just 9 months in power, is "worse".

These are the realities that show you people are not interested in the progress and wellbeing of Nigeria. All you want is your own, that we all know is super worthless and ultra-incompetent, becoming President.

We are not regretting anything. The continuation effect of former President Buhari’s legacy is what President Tinubu is battling now. Terrorists, bandits, and evil men of the underworld are out everywhere. Buhari bankrupted the humanity in us. There are satanic influences everywhere. It is like President Tinubu is starting from ground zero to rebuild Nigeria. Take, for example, most of our crude oil has been sold, swapping it for goods. The NNPC could not get enough forex to meet demand; hence the law of demand and supply will come into play in the market. The effect on inflation is hyper. The yoke on the people is burdensome.

What is the oil price?
nairalanda1:

The problem is, our economy is reliant on oil and the oil price is not favouring us. Then debt service is at an all time high.

Any coup is going to face them issues.

Remember Buhari coup. By 1983, Nigeria was in soup because oil prices crashed in sept 1982. Buhari came and removed shagari, but the issues remained and the economy continued its spiral.

Buhari thought that fighting corruption was the answer, forgetting that corruption was a symptiom and not the cause.

It would be good to remove the current goverment, but unless the new guys have an answer to our dependency on oil, economy won't improve

Its the corruption in Tinubu's govt thats sinking the country
LegendHero:

No one can sack Tinubu. He will complete his solid 4 years.

For decades, economic analysts have been ringing that subsidy/dollar rate must be solved and that has been the major cry from people all these years.

I want cardoso to maintain this float for 4 years. If after the end of their first tenure, things do not change for better, then na we go vote them commot find another person.

But until then, there are some of us who still stand gidigba by the subsidy/excavnage rate fix which caused all this inflation. We believe it’s just a temporary setback because of the shock of the policy.

What is the oil price?

(Note: I am not here to excuse this government, mind.).

87 dollars per barrel.

But the question is, what price do we need it at.

As at 2021...it was 103 dollars per barrel.

Yes, it has been at that high, but at 2012, it was 122, 2017 139, 2020 133, and 2021 103

Oil was below 100 late 2014, and remained there until 2021, when it got to 103...meanwhile we used loan to make up the resultant deficit.

Where APC failed is simple...they saw this and did not diversify. Instead....they took more loans and waited for oil to rise again.

(We were here before 1973-82...high oil prices..1983-2004/5 low oil prices.
Re: Economy: The Masses Should March To Abuja And Sack Tinubu Immediately by ValarDoharis: 2:25pm On Feb 12
He wasn't elected but rigged in!

It was because he lacked legitimacy and was looking for one, that why he opened his stinking mouth to say subsidy is gone even when the budget provided for one more month. This one month would have been enough to assess the situation before making a rash statement.

That singular statement damage his illegitimate presidency and he'll rever recover the economy in 4yrs and you know it

You cherrypicked years with high oil prices to push your narrative.

What is the average price of crude from 1999-2007 during Obj era?

What is the average from 2009-2015 GEJ era?

What is the average from 2015-2023 Buhari era?

APC has never done 2.4 million barrel per day ,something PDP government was doing with ease. APC are the ones stealing crude oil through their cronies. So, its not only about oil price but the volume output. Its not only about oil revenues but preventing the stealing of these revenues. Tinubu govt is super corrupt

Want to know something even bad...

IN 2012, oil breakeven was 122 dollars per barrel.

That was why GEJ took loans even then, because the income was not enough from oil, even when 'oil was high'.

The point I am making is simple. We need oil at very high prices to pay for all our needs...that is where my comment below comes in

THe bolded refers to our fiscal breakeven for those years. That plus the 122 dollars breakeven price at 2012.

The other prices show that oil was low

What I am saying is simple. Oil has never been as high as we wanted it, even during the good old days of GEJ and Yaradua. The only time we had oil favour us was in 2008, when oil was at 145 dollars per barrel...way above any breakeven.

Now, APC Knew that, but preferred to take loans to cover the difference between our fiscal breakeven and actual oil prices, which could be as wide as 100 dollars....at times in 2016, and 2020-1. That is why we are in debt...and why right now 90% of our income goes to debt coverage.

Read my comment again. I am showing you how APC Has failed, you don't see it.

You can say anything you want. Anytime fuel increase, tell that Agulu failure called Obi to decrease it since na him be your legitimate president.

You know life no too hard. Tell Obi to pronounce dollar is now #100 and go to the bank to exchange for that rate stating that your president said so.

If you’re not a paid propagandist and are actually trying to educate and improve Nigeria, you’ll be fair and balanced with your analysis. You always focus on failures making them the standard when we have evidence of success in Obasanjo. The only period in Nigeria’s democracy that the population got wealthier was during Obasanjo’s presidency, even though he earned far less than others who came after him.
