There is a place for empathy in government.

No matter your intentions, if you lose your empathy, you are simply exhibiting pride and greed.

And one way you can show this, is by taking very hasty actions.

The manner Tinubu announced the removal of subsidy, and the subsequent floating of naira shows that of a man filled with unhealthy ego; the kind of ego that wrecks a nation. It's so clear that governments before were more discerning.

I am so angry as I type this. If I make a video right now with the kind of anger in me, It won't look good but i don't care.

People are suffering, things are getting out of hand. I am able to feed well. But this is not about me.

Where are the subsidy savings?
Who's going to account for the subsidy savings?
What are they being used for?

We have seen a typical devilish Nigerian politician in Betta Edu, channeling funds made for the public into personal accounts.

Buhari's terrible actions are being overtaken by Tinubu's greed and selfishness, less than a year in office.

Even customs are relying on the black market to peg their duty rates. This is madness.

Tinubu is using the mentality that he has used to put a whole state in his pocket to rule Nigeria. I am afraid, because the people up north are learning and will add more to their own schemes when they take up the presidential seat.

What does the future hold for Nigeria?

It looks scary for the man in the streets.

Something has to be done, and really fast too, because there is an extent you can push people, and they'll bounce back at you with a greater force, risking all.

Let us not let a man who has seen better days to wreck our nation.

We must rise up and defend our sanity.

The problem here is that Tinubu and is team want to prove to everyone that they are first class economist.

They felt that by removing every form of social welfare will earn them positive remarks with IMF/World Bank, thereby they can argue for debt forgiveness.
But unfortunately, most nations are struggling and lenders will want back their money. In short, Nigerian will suffer.

No matter how much you cry or shrieking your cries become. It will not change the fact that Tinubu was left with a mess and he is doing his best to clear them up.
Nobody is saying things are rosy but to heap all the blame on someone who came to power just 8 months ago is a bit of a stretch.
We won't fall for it. So, keep on crying.

Although we all like to talk about the challenges we go through in Nigeria, nobody wants to create a forum that government will declare its #1 enemy. This is the reason why this thread won't make it to the front page.

Your fixation with Tinubu a is dead giveaway that you are either partisan, tribalistic or simply ignorant.
I don't take folks like you seriously because what you are doing now is not different from what you did during the campaign.
When people like the former CBN governor Sanusi is giving honest assessment about the state of the country, I take them seriously not court jesters and hecklers.

The blames heaped on him are the ones he deserves. He floated the Naira and hastily removed subsidy. Those are the things the OP laid emphasis on.

Who’s to blame for the hasty removal of petrol subsidy and floating of Naira that has led to this economic crisis we are in now?

Hasty? You probably didn't know Buhari did not budget for it because basically Nigeria can no longer afford it.
