Two motions that I am conflicted over

Gambling is out of control in Nigeria and needs to be regulated. Banning is a bridge too far

State police are a requirement - but imagine albino lion police geng.

Which of Ojuwku, Okafigbo, or Nwobodo were contesting on PDP platform?

.

As at 2003.

All 5 SE incumbent governors were PDP candidates all going for 2nd term.

Obj was going for 2nd term as the incumbent PDP president.

All 15 senators from the SE were incumbent PDP candidates running for second term.

And you expect a non-PDP presidential to get votes in that region?

Stop being incredibly stupid...its not fashionable.

grin

.......chei! Yesterday was Val though, dey show love nah. LOL!

Make someone like Hope Uzodinma or Wike get the power to form their own police?

Many household items have tripled in price. More than 90 percent of Nigerian households are feeling the pinch of this tinubu's maladministration.
But of course, we will continue suffering and smiling away.

Tinubu's plan for Nigeria was just to be president.

Infact, he started to think of Nigeria's problems on May 30, 2023.

Imagine paying subsidy at the rate of 1500/$.
He fulfilled his longtime dream. Nothing really concern with situation of things

It's like saying they should legalise gun ownership.

Great idea in theory, actual usage will be a catastrophe of epic proportions.

State police ke? In this Nigeria where executive power is the closest definition of infinite we can access in real time?

The Nation overheard one of the ACTDA officials saying, “our Governor is behind what we are doing, if they like, let them report to Tinubu, nothing will happen.”

No wonder the 36 governors unanimously agreed.

Why can't they pull the resources they intend to create their state police into the Federal level and strengthen it?

We either want devolution of powers from the center or we don't. While I think other aspects of devolution should be coming before state policing, I think it won't be as bad as people make it seem. Some governors will get state policing right, and others won't, some will abuse it, and others will be fair in their use of the states police.

My well respected elder brother, even the thought of State Police in Nigeria should make you quake in your boots.

Not a single governor will get it right in this present climate.

The problem is not the idea. The problem is the systems we have in the country.

unpopular opinion - i am actually for banning of sachet alcohol because imho commercial drivers are their main customers. would you comfortably enter a vehicle with a driver holding a bottle of chelsea gin?

It looks like Amotekun's mode of operation is different from that of the police, but there is a mode of operation.

And nobody expects Amotekun to be exactly like the police!
