Nigeria needs a new constitution and political structure, not only State Police. The 1999 Constitution was not a contribution by Nigerian people; a few military dictators from one side of Nigeria literally dictated the constitution. Again, the constitution has no referendum that backed it. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Penguin2:Those that will do the worst with rigging elections will be PDP controlled state. PDP did the worst with rigging under President Obasanjo during the time Prof Maurice Iwu was the chairman of INEC. I don't know if you were old enough to understand those times, but if not, election rigging is always a part of the PDP and NEVER has APC rigged elections. Creation of State police is what you people have been crying for since the days of President Jonathan now that President Tinubu wants to grant you your heart desires, you still want to bring up another useless statement. APC had never rigged elections and will NEVER use the police to do that. 4 Likes 1 Share |

teamoneline: It's Nigerians themselves that are uniquely corrupt. Not the body INEC. Bring any body and give it any name and same result will happen. Even the so called ASUU you mentioned, go and see the nonsense that happens during their elections. And to correct you, its not Red Cross and bodies similar to ASUU that conducts elections in other countries. They are people nominated by the govt, its just that the quality of their people and their default level of integrity is far superior to ours. 7 Likes 1 Share |

STATE POLICE, ANOTHER PLOY TO STRENGTHEN BOKO HARAM. The 12 Sharia states of northern Nigeria can hide under state police to import arms and foreign fighters, train local Islamists for a Jihad, to impose Sharia criminal laws upon all Nigeria. Under Obasanjo government, political and religious leaders of the far north states adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws. Islamic sharia criminal laws include stoning blasphemous person to death, cutting the hands of thieves, stoning women to death for adultery. Muhammadu Buhari in 2001 in Kaduna declared that he would not stop until Islamic sharia criminal laws are applied in all the states of Nigeria. Immediately after the declaration, he became capable of winning millions and millions of votes in presidential elections in the sharia states. Without resistance from soldiers from some sections of Nigeria, Boko Haram fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws, would have taken over all Nigeria. |

Like they did during the fuel and naira scarcity when Obi supported and claimed it's common with developed country, thinking it will favour him at the polls, they are doing the same now. Their wishes and prayers is that things don't improve so they can continue to gloat and hope it will help them next election. They desperately want this administration to fail. "....if the decentralisation of the security system would end insecurity."------President Bola Tinubu. If? So before embarking on this State Police thing, the president is not sure insecurity can be arrested through State Security. Be sure: under state police, Islamic Republic of Nigeria flag shall be hoisted over Nigeria. The Sharia states will hide under State Police to import hardened ISIS Jihadi fighters and train local Islamists for a Jihad against rest of Nigeria. The divided armed forces cannot succeed in fitting them off. Sani Yerima as gov of Zamfara state introduced sharia criminal laws to Northern Nigeria. It spread like wild fire in all the other 11 states. Sharia wars broke out. A BBC female Reporter asked Sani Yerima if he didn't believe that his sharia criminal laws he introduced could leas to break up of Nigeria. Since then, Islamists from the sharia states in high government positions have not hidden their intentions for an Islamic Republic of Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. |

Governors are very powerless, this is the only way every Governor can fight insecurity in their state. So instead of every one waiting for Tinubu to come and answer to everyinsecurity.... It's better you let the Governors have their powers to Police their states and the President focus on the bigger Terrorist and economics. Best move by the President. State Police is urgently needed since the mess of insecurity is becoming unbearable couple with the population of the country and it's complexity. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Penguin2:Bros, no one that has power and won't insult it. State Policing is needed urgently to cobe the insecurity as a matter of urgency. The Governors are to powerless and everyone waited for the President. It's wrong, let the Governors have their full force to Police their states. Governors have only 4years, if they abuse powers, we get them arrested the day they hand over power at once. People are dying, farmers can not go to farm again, Tinubus decision to create state Police is the answer to Nigerias insecurity ASAP 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is a good idea, Just that, most northern state cannot pay salaries of these state policemen, The current NPF is being funded by oil money and tax payers money, A good idea, oil rich states should embrace this and make their states crime free, |
