Good move. The three major corrupt sectors are the banks selling to the aboki et al, the nnpc and electricity distribution companies. In fact, every dollars that come into every bank must be made accounted for! Tackle and restructure these three sectors for once! Also devolution in every sectors! 4 Likes |

Structure the BDC. They have to be registered. Anybody caught operating BDC without a license should be arrested and prosecuted. If you have control of the BDC, Then you can flush in Dollars to control the exchange rate. But now the basket has too many holes, Even if CBN flushes in 10 billion dollars, it wont stop the naira falling. Currency trade is tied to national security. They all have to be registered. Inflow and outflow should be recorded Anyone that changes more than $10,000 cash to naira or vice versa, the authorities should be notified. And preferably the transaction should involve a bank account of either BDC or customer. Sell bureau de change licenses, sell to one or two prominent BDC'S and let them open and run shops, so that you can regulate them. Everybody cannot be running around as independent BDC, who knows if they also give information to kidnappers ? If you change $20000 weekly, whats stops the BDC from serving as informant to kidnappers ? 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is one areas I blame Tinubu govt. For crying out loud, I haven't seen anywhere people do forex business like Nigeria. I don't know of other Africa counties, but outside Africa, most countries restrict their forex to airport and the commercial banks. In Brazil it's a crime to transact business with foreign currency, not to talk of exchanging dollars on the street like Nigeria. That's is why in Nigeria most commercial banks are pushing their forex to the BDCs for more profits 7 Likes |

Tout sponsored by the limping mc olu guy businesses of ibos will be destroyed in lagos and they will be a total breakdown of law and order!
