Omo! Job losses loominng like this. If the CEO of Nigerian Brewries can make bold that Nigerians can no longer afford beer, then know that a lot of their staff will surely be retrenched in the coming months.

Emilokan don turn EnibaLomo angry

True, it hasn't helped too that these Bandits, Boko Haram and herdsmen have made farming completely unattractive. Nairaland used to have a booming agriculture section those 2013-2017 era, even dabbled in poultry farming that year based off inspiration from that section, a lot of persons were making some solid income farming crops and animals.
Na ritualists dey do Poultry now, because how can you buy feed for 9,500, 10,200, 11,700, and 12,500 in the same weekcry

Na since 2019-2020 I don know say Poultry business don cast. My boss then had a poultry business and catfish business as side hustle; he goes as far as Ibadan where the animal feed company he patronizes to buy feed stock for the poultry.

He was the first person I know who raised alarm that the business don cast. He said a lot of farmers have run into serious debt due to the high cost of feed and that the production the poultry farm is directly proportional to quality of feed available to the birds.

That's why I find it irresponsible for government agency to be sealing people's stores claiming they are hoarding when in actual fact they are adjusting price to the current market reality and their financial obligations to creditors.

All these Justrite, Grocery Bazaar etc have credit facilities with respective banks they service from their business operations and sales. It is only normal for those people to adjust their prices once they know cost price has changed from the producer's side even if they still have old stock.

Government go just leave the major cause dey treat symptoms.

Even more. Some of them have done more than 500% increase. Add that to the devaluation of the currency from 1000 to 1750 and you'll arrive at that figure.

I will devote some time to it within the week.

Realmrsean:
that figure you saw there is under reported, its way more than that

Is like those coins that can give that kinda of money is not listed in binance yet.

It's hard to see a binance listed coin do 4x

Well I will look into them.

There's no difference between tinubu government and buhari government.

During buhari regime, he was busy banning everything even crypto because he thought it contribute to naira fall.

See tinubu yesterday, using EFCC to harass BDC operators because of naira free fall.

Yesterday, prospa posted about Zambia kwacha currency appreciation, so I browsed it to know the economic policies their president took that help in their economic growth.

The picture is one of the policies their president took that help reduce inflation but our custom is busy adjusting rates.

it's crypto for you. You can magically turn your 200k to 3M and if market goes against you and you forget to use stop-loss, your 200k fit turn 20k

It's sad. It's even better some are realizing and admitting their mistakes.

Under buhari, APC supporters were devil, they refused to admit their mistakes.

Anyways I will stand by his manh00d in 2027.

They supported Buhari till the very end because of emi lo kan, they knew their turn was neigh, and were okay with the country going up in flames as long as their man or whoever he annointed was the king of the ashes eventually.

Even the lenders are not finding it easy, imagine giving out a loan in Naira when rates were 750, only for it to come back to you now that rates are 1600+, that's over 50% lost in less than a year.

Not to mention contracts that are given at 10* the actual value of the work to be done. The state of the economy has not stopped those sort of grift, and that's one of the things Datti mentioned he'd personally be responsible for.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 9:39am On Feb 20
I was asking my peeps in the SE why they are not protesting the hardship. They said things are truly expensive over here but that for most people during business, they can afford it. I noticed that everyone is into one form of business or the other including civil servants.

The problem with this government is not their policies. It's the recklessness in their spending and theifery.

If we look at how much we have lost through corruption amongst leaders, subsidies of any kind may just be a fraction.

All the monies Nigeria has spent on very useless programs this tenure would be enough to subsidize fuel for 2 years..

He has removed subsidy, but has indirectly paid twice what any predecessor has paid before.

Someone that came in and 110 billion was approved for both furniture in the judiciary, and cars for senators. This one no be unnecessary spending cuts?

Seyi should drop today's quote on endurance abeg. Let me read it and recite it throughout the day

me sef i tire - the vibe i am getting is that no matter what happens, some nigerians will not get the memo that things are hard and we have to tighten belt. 'my time to chop and i must chop'

Tinubu needs to go one step further and make an example of some people who still keep coming up with bloated budgets
