This is very wrong.

Music fans in Nigeria already knew Tuface before they started hearing about a group called Plantashun Boiz or any artist called Blackface. Tuface was the one who actually helped both Blackface and Plantashun Boys to become popular.

The artist that first brought both Tuface and Blackface to the limelight was Tony tetuila when he featured them in his popular song Omode Meta. In the song, Tuface was that lanky young boy with a sweet voice singing " oh o! s'ere o, won n s'ere ayo..." Nobody knew Blackface or Plantashun Boys during this time.

Which music fans are you talking about? Heard plantasun boiz on cassette that year, you are here talking about 2face.

It clearly shows you don't know them or have zero history of nigeria music.

Somebody once said if you have to pick between saying nothing or saying something stupid, it is better to say nothing.

2face did not hinder Faze nor Blackface from coming out with songs. Faze even tried by coming out with a few hits. Blackface was a total disappointment.

2face succeeded because he kept bringing out hits upon hits. He was a prolific songwriter. He was also a good artist. He invented afrobeats and the rest is history.

Faze and Blackface should instead have bought songs from songwriters. That's the smart thing to do. Many top overseas artist buy songs. Even some Nigerian ones do. Rihanna uses songwriters a lot.

It reminds me of the Fugees. When they went solo, only Wyclefs career soared. The other 2, which included Lauryn Hill died out fast.

There is no excuse for failure, Tuface didnt hinder him from succeeding. Tuface never rested on his oars, afta his first two best selling albums, he continued to work and churn out albums while blackface was busy playing blame games. .

What Eedris Abdulkareem said here is 100% truths. 2face enjoy the gifts of blackface. That’s why if you are much talented in music, don’t expose yourself to your competitors, or else that your Glory and talent won’t blossom.

This your statement is 100 percent wrong .
Tony Tetula sang Omode Meta after his own group that consist of Eddy Remedy,Tetula and Edris Abdulkareem split .(The remedies).
It was the group platainshun boys that brought up Tuface .so,how did people know tuface before the group that introduced him.
It was few years after "The remedies 'slit that plantashun Bois too separated.

Concentrate on recovery you’re stirring controversies

When you made your millions you enjoyed your money and didn’t save

When you were abusing substances it was you doing yourself. Just leave us alone. Don’t come asking for money to fix your kidney

Hmm 🤔 very true. 2Face can’t deny it

Blackface made 2Face what he is today – Eedris Abdulkareem

Controversial Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has claimed that his colleague, 2Face, otherwise known as 2Baba, owes most of his career successes to his former bandmate, Blackface.

He said Blackface was the leader of the defunct Plantashun Boiz that brought 2Baba to the spotlight.

The veteran singer appeared as a guest in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu, Deity Cole, and Husband Material.

Speaking in Pidgin, Abdulkareem said, “Most of the things wey 2face be today, na Blackface make am happen.”

DAILY POST recalls that Blackface, 2Baba then known as 2Face, and Faze were once members of a band called Plantashun Boiz. The band defunct after they split, launching their respective solo careers.

Blackface had in several interviews accused 2Face of being responsible for their split. He also accused 2Face of stealing his hit song, ‘African Queen’ from him.

https://dailypost.ng/2024/02/19/blackface-made-2face-what-he-is-today-eedris-abdulkareem/#:~:text=Speaking%20in%20Pidgin%2C%20Abdulkareem%20said,launching%20their%20respective%20solo%20careers.

I wonder why Blackface is the least successful of the defunct Plantashun Boiz.
Blackface would have channeled his energy towards building his solo career by composing good songs and getting a good producer to promote his songs just like Faze did instead of accusing tu baba of stealing ‘African Queen’ from him.
Success has many fathers but failure is an orphan.

2face was a pretty boy. Girls already prefer their love songs coming from the mouth of pretty boys. Black face on the other hand....well..

Not taking anything g away from 2baba talents. But looks na just plus plus for that industry.
