. By 2030, the world's financial system will run on crypto technology: blockchain. God spares our lives; I will remind you then.

By then, you will mind them.

These crypto aids hoarding of dollars, the individuals doing it don't make so much profit, but collectively it hurts our currency.

Only neophytes will repatriate their funds to Naira out of fear.
In fact, a person can hold and spend crypto without touching the Naira.

The experienced people understand that those making the policy are crypto illiterate.
That explains their policy summersault.

So, the CBN governor didn't know what he was doing when he lifted the crypto ban.

This advice is pointless.
The government can only block crypto websites, it cannot take possession of the coins.

If you think they can, then you don't understand how crypto works.
You think the CBN will write to Binance, hey Binance, give me
all the crypto belonging to Nigerians and Binance will say, take it all my lord.

As what exactly?
The worst that can happen is a ban which will be meaningless to crypto savvy folks.

If you disagree, explain how the Nigeria government can seize crypto it does not own.

I advised long ago for the government to create it own token/wallet that can appreciate over time but they refuse.

They actually can. Don't underestimate the power of the government. They could
- ban binance website and app from opening in Nigeria, like they did Twitter some years. Forget using VPN, Binance will ban you straight.
- They could request KYC details of Binance users and go after them via BVN. Remember Binance has office in Abuja and they are willing to cooperate with the government.
-They could track the phone numbers used to operate OTP on binance and go after them via BVN.

etc etc.

Just pray that the government doesn't go full force against Binance users in Nigeria. Don't forget how the US government dealt seriously with the CEO of Binance
Well said.

Opp, no need to move to non-custodial so fast especially ERC20 tokens that are on Mainet. Withdrawal charges are high, we will look for a way over it. Don't panic.
