Job seekers, how are you coping job hunting in this extremely hardship period? by Life2ways(op):
There's no doubt that life is far harder for unemployed people in Nigeria this period than ever before.

In the midst of no cash inflow, high cost of transportation, no food and clothing, yet one has to stay alive. Imagine when an unemployed/job seeker could buy N100 bread, Akara N50 (A&B), then a bottle of coke or even sachet water for N10 and that is enough for him to go job hunting and return, costing N150 or less than N200.

Today, the least bread in town is N250 and the size is smaller than anything you can imagine. The least Akara is N100 and it's smaller than a bottle cover and a sachet of water is nothing less than N30 (let's forget about coke). Na rich people dey drink that one now.

Yesterday, with hunger, hardship and heat, while job hunting, you needed to see me trekking on the road and sweating profusely because I couldn't afford transport fare. As if that was not enough, i still got home with nothing to eat.

Surely, when you combine hunger and heat, the end may be "wetin no good". That is my present condition. I pray God helps me and very very soon because it's not easy at all especially this period.

Other job seekers, how are you coping this period, combining heat, hunger and hardship? Should we give up in life or keep pushing?

May God help us.

I lost one of my friend , a very hardworking Igbo guy to death this week. He had kidney issues, he came all the way from the east, he struggled, work so hard and was just getting out of poverty when death snatched him away. He had kidney disease and left a young wife and a baby. We did our best, just wondering how the wife would cope. So sad in this perilous time.

Pele bro. Such is life, especially in these times. Our political class keeps digging a hole that's consuming the whole country.

Getting a Job is like hitting a goldmine for our people. For writers and other remote workers, AI has taken over so many jobs.

Because of harsh economic policies startups and micro businesses can't even add to their workforce. The situation is terrible, and if you talk about it, people will say you're picking on a certain politician.

By God's grace we go dey alright.

Show us anywhere here where he begged you. Or is money leaving your account and entering his account? Nobody is begging anybody. If you can spot the issues he's talking about, it's probably best to shut up.

You should understand that this is where some low lifers actually live their lives to the fullest.

Most times I wonder if politicians and political leaders understand that Nigeria is made of poor people, extremely poor people? How do you want this set of people to survive in this kind of extremely hard economy?
