During training school, they pay stipend which is manageable but well above the minimum wage. Once you scale through TS, it's when you will know the pay + allowances+ every every on the offer of employment letter..

If you don't have anything doing at the moment. I will suggest you take. I know of someone that was in the same situation as you are. She was finally promoted. So you won't be in the position forever. It is a stepping stone to a higher position.
Also have a plan. How many years do you want to stay on a marketing position.

If you don’t have other options, you better take it while looking for another job. They will give you at least a year or two before them sack you. So just go and collect free money while searching for other jobs. If them put pressure on you to go find money, you go just say you are trying your best

Do you have another job somewhere? You need the experience to boost your CV you can be searching for better prospects while you are in the field doing the marketing job. The saying that one doesn't value what he has until he loses it, is very real.

Don't be scared, those targets could be frightening but very realistic.
Don't defeat yourself before the battle starts.

Resume at the training school, you will be equipped with the needed knowledge on how to scale through.
You can even be fortunate to land in a very good branch where your colleagues will make things easier for you.

Marketing is the best job in the bank after head office functions, it gives you opportunity to grow, meet people and even have some time for yourself.
Even those in operations after a few years beg to switch to marketing.

the OP doesn't know what he's about to miss. The banking sector is all about marketing. With marketing you can't be wrong. Don't be frightened by the targets, they are just numbers which you can even surpass with lesser effort. Most marketing targets run on auto pilot. If you're lucky to be posted to a very gud branch, you'll smile all through.

Go for it. It is way better than a lot of jobs. You also learn a lot and meet people

This harsh economy who who give you money? I don't doubt the work of God but humanly speaking, the job as a marketer in the bank na pure slavery and horrible. The pressure from your boss person no go fit sleep for house, that self na so high blood pressure the start. Look at the present Naija economy, who you won go meet to give u money for bank. Think am well o. Na advice I give you so from experience. People wet dey push you say make you do, they themselves no fit do am, cos they know what it takes..I can't even wish my enemies that kind job.

Marketing is all about lies. Most times you make them understand your deals are in pipeline. Mr A or N promise me 5m in 2weeks time. Move close to your colleagues you met on the job and lower your shoulder. They will help you to succeed. Start numbering your prospects. That 500k , 1m is not small. Your targets begin with your family members, relatives
