I deliberately didn't post this in romance section because I don't want immature and biased advise instead of reading and advising with an open heart. I also know I'm not to sleep at work but my body is just trying to adapt and with time I'll adapt, and my boss understands and not complaining.So don't come here to say things that'll annoy me further

Did you read I said it's a new job and I'm just trying to adapt. Did I say it's right to sleep? Am I under him? You people should try and be unbiased, atleast I didn't hide my shortcomings and I admitted and apologized but this man is just acting like village people

There are terms and conditions of service in every working place , if you do not know about the terms and conditions of handling dispute in your present company ask, and follow the procedure don't take laws into your hands, be polite e get why, you might not know who is watching.

In a nut shell let the dispute be resolved amicably.

People were asking him to calm down on me that I'm just trying to adapt, if it's sack you are thinking, he can't sack me so zero your mind from that angle.
It's like if I don't fight him he will not mind his business. I'll let him enjoy this week but next week is not guaranteed sha.

You dont work under him doesnt mean that he shouldnt tell you the truth. That your line manager condones it doesnt mean that its right. I have never seen a staff policy handbook in Nigeria that says staff have nap time. You should try to conform fast with your new environment before you are fired.

Oh ok.... I missed that... Talk to your immediate boss about it, he would know how to pass it across to him professionally... Don't insult him, even if he can't sack you, he can make other superiors see you as an uncout, unprofessional, and insubordinate staff which might eventually affect your appraisal on the long run. Like somebody said up there, people are watching... Your attitude matters alot. If you can talk to a superior colleague anyhow because he's not your direct boss, there are chances that you will do same to your direct boss if he do something worse than the previous one did. Apply wisdom

Thanks a lot, I don't intend ever fighting him, people are even telling me he's got attitude problems that I should avoid him

Your eagerness to abuse him with his personal life is a no no. He is criticizing your proffessional conduct on the job, you have no right to discuss his personal life especially when he did not tell you himself.

You are sleeping in the job and at your workstatioj for that matter. That is the fact and what he rightly disapproves of. Stop sleeping on the job abd he would not have anything to say against you.
