Maybe I should have added, for those who don’t know, Ekong and Sanusi is out.
but we had players who came in for those positions during the Afcon when the players didn't play

Are you the one that exposed him,

your Pep that was recently appointed, where was he exposed in the last Afconhuh
whats doing this one?…if appointing eguavoen is your headache na that one concern you… does my post look like im comparing Peseiro to Eguavoen?…or does it reads like im coming here to glorify eguavoen…oga im taking a critique on a possible reason Peseiro went for an ultra defensive approach…he tactics was figured out whether you like it or not…he was 100% lucky against SA…those guys found a way to unlock our stubborn defense..im not coming here to argue wether eguavoen is better than peseiro

Stats are funny things Sha. Against south Africa we had more shots on target, forced their goalie to more saves but we feel we were lucky to win the match.

But they didn’t get much action na.

We also had players that were overused till the extent that their quality may have dropped in the finals. And now they be out for months.

When I watched the falconets at the World Cup, I thought that was the best female national team I’ve even seen play. My expectations was that most of those young players will graduate to the senior team. I believe she is one is those players. How many of them have come through so far?
The bunch of the team are still doing well... Either at home or away.

Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Sebastian Flourish, Ester OnyeneZIDANE, Mercy Idoko and her highness Debby Kante Abiodun.

Their class ain't blessed with a good goalie though

What she did to that Canadian player at last WC is enough to put her in jail. That foul was wicked and awful to watch coming from professional footballer. She needs to work on marking abilities before she ends peoples career
What she did was worse than what James sister did to Alozie?

You have World Cup qualifiers underway and you want to rework? dey play. This is how we keep killing the National team, fixing even what does not need any fixing.
ewo

Rework or no rework qualifying for next world cup will be difficult and it's all due to the nonsense will played in the first two matches

we can't control that but what more action do you need from Omeruo who we know will come in for Ekong or a Bright Osayi who may swap positions with Aina? No be wetin we get we go use. I understand your feelings, we can only hope the injured players recover on time but I think we have a squad that just needs to improve, distorting that synergy in that team made up of players that were either overused or underused during afcon may be our undoing going forward. My personal view.

we can use our lessons learned during afcon to salvage things, we shouldn't lose hope.

With what I have watched so far in this Udinese game
Okoye is not ready for the Super Eagles
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:38pm On Mar 02, 2024
Omeruo rather came in for Sanusi and Bassey switched to LB. That’s an Omeruo-Troost-Ajayi CB line. Without Troost, I hope our new coaches can come up with something. That lean midfield of ours is a transferred problem.

Nacho not in the match day squad even with no injury concern. Weird selection pattern developing since post afcon.

yeah, but that midfield, for now, I am not sure we can do much perhaps during friendlies we can try out new players and see what they can do.

You can't blame him, seems Udinese had a shitty defence, even with the former no1, it's worst

What is so hard about that. Just invite dele Bashir and nwakali. Play raphael onyedika and see what they can do in a friendly.
Do it a few times and our midfield is OK.
It's not rocket science.
Our coaches are just stubborn

As for me, philosophy and scouting is king. Over long work experience. If you don't have the philosophy, you can't impact it.

Let us select our coach based on that. That is why we keep skipping the best for the job.

Amunike remains my pick.
An employer of labour would always go for a strong CV
Amuneke has a rather weak CV
With his strong philosophy and scouting abilities, he should be doing something somewhere, with results that can enhance his CV and employability..

I don't see him being called anytime soon, not because he is not good, but for the reason stated above
