Amedino99:. Nothing like selective amnesia, I av said I do not hate jpagero or any foreign coach (because they do better with SE) but jpagero' rigidity caused us d final cause his dynamism is limited to one way traffic. CM was dynamic in 1994, Keshi too was dynamic in 2013, but Jpagero should av done better with a little bit of tweaking especially d final. Meanwhile, I must give it to jpes, the backline is very discipline and like somebody said; stingy defence |

Odunayaw:. Yes first hand, I was at Djakotomey a village with a distance of about 53km to Boake to buy some special breed of cocoa seedlings. I can show you pics but you av to register and pay for consultation! I wasn't down playing jpes effort, all I am saying is dat his rigidity was his bane. If you go some pages back, you would see where I said I appreciate jpes effort in bringing out the best in Eagles. |

villagereporter:Oga just forget it,person used players like say he had shortage of squad to the extent players were ruled out of the season. Pls go and watch eagles Afcon matches again and you will know that you are on point but to some you are talking nonsense. Yes what a good tournament, reaching a final kudos must be given to him but his tactics ha can messed player up. How I wish he continues with eagles and gives more opportunities to midfielders to bring fluidity to his tactics. |

Meliforme:Thats a lie.. Big lie. The same team that got completely dominated in open play by lower oppositions like GB, SA, ANG? A team with an inexistent midfield, which couldn't even connect to the attack at all. The forwards only had to rely on their individual brilliance or long balls from the defenders. No single dynamics in play. No single assist from a lazy Iwobi, Onyeka overworked. Even Osimhen overworked. A team that kept defending against a defensively porous CIV when there is still lots of time for CIV to come back. Osimhen completely starved and cut off! The only good job from Peseiro was in the defense which didn't even last to the final when we needed it most. So what the hell you talking about. 5 Likes |

MetalJigsaw:Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United and the one we saw in recent Afcon is far ahead of Okoye of Udinese who can be rated as the best Nigeria keeper in term of quality league. Nwabali should relax first cuz am seeing French league club coming for him….QPR not ideal and if one go by Saudi money, yes cool but playing in Europe division one would be better. 2 Likes |

do4luv14: You are misinformed or giving disinformation. VO has been averaging at least 10 goals a season for the past 6/7 seasons in different leagues. Is that matrix enough to make a player be designated world class. I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or just plain mischievously contentious. |

Kog45: I would not make that deduction so quickly, "FAR AHEAD" I've seen players even teams perform way beyond all expectation in cup tournaments. But then to replicate that form consistently day in and day out in their club league becomes very problematic. Remember Newport English League two beat a Leicester City EPL team in the FA cup quite a few years ago but could not even win promotion to league one that season. I absolutely think Nwabali is outstanding and has brought great confidence to the SE as well as quality. He was exceptional at AFCON for us. But then I wonder was it because Uzoho and others were so abysmally poor that it made him look a lot better in our eyes 👀,l really don't know. He was undoubtedly our saviour. A move to French league one is good so also is a move to QPR. Who will pay more money and give the longer contract ❓An outstanding season in the Championship 🏆 and the EPL will come calling. And if you think QPR are too low they just beat Leicester City 2-1 . Bit surprised no KC and or Ndidi in the squad are they injured ⁉️ |

AndSunGorilla: Southampton consider him a crucial top player but all he gets is dogs abuse from the fans here and there. He has been outstanding for Southampton and abysmal for the SE for many. VO scored one goal 🥅 but not a word of criticism of our world class player. In major tournament and the star player scores one goal. All the blame on the midfield and everybody else. Onyeka and Yusuf/Onyedika that's a dead midfield with zero innovation and creativity. |

Kog45: Good. Although I think Dele Bashiru is more of an attacker, although I haven't seen much of him like I haven't seen several others. Some of them are still quite young like Eletu, Daga, AkinSanmiro, although age means nothing and some are yet to play top profile football. I'm yet to see a lot of them. Anyways, a playmaker and a holding passing midfielder who are both technical and defensively sound are needed first! |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 10:43am On Mar 03 |
maidaboi: It's simple mathematics all the players who scored over 10 goals in the top 5 European leagues over the past 4 season. If you want to contend and say they are not up to a hundred do the maths and state the facts , and prove me wrong. No goal 🥅 posts changed or evasion. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 10:46am On Mar 03 |
Kog45: Dele Bashiru is not technically proficient for me, Nwakali not even a consideration ( mediocre player) Football ⚽ is not played behind closed doors. Once a player is doing good things clubs go after the players and not on the pages of newspapers but make bids One of my biggest disappointments is Oviemuno Ejaria, how could he allow attitude and contentions cut short his career. I know he is quite moody and recalcitrant but he should have some sense. He fought with Steven Gerard, Klopp ( Liverpool told him to stay ) Paul Ince, etc etc he has earned a reputation as a problem player. Irrespective of his exceptional talent and ability he has been very unwise. Otherwise he has the ability to be that maverick midfielder that can make the difference unpredictable, inventive and creative. 2 Likes |

I don't understand fuss over Eguavoen appointment as interim coach of Super Eagles! Why the fuss?! Ooooh......we should have kept JPes?! Same JPes una wanted out at all costs pre-AFCON?! Same JPes that locked his X account coz of Nigerian Fans?! I do not support Eguavoen to take fully charge of the team but I have no problem with him being an interim coach till right coach takes over. Last AFCON Winners, Senegal and CIV were led by indigenous Coach. Last AFCON we won also was led by a local Coach, thus I am 100% in support of a local Coach to be in charge. Amunike or Finidi? Any of the two can be appointed, i have no Qualms with it. Whoever is appointed should be trusted and supported by real fans of Super Eagles. Lastly, make una stop; I have feeling ish. Una feelings before AFCON na waste cos none of you felt team would reach the final. |
