The call for Kelechi Nwakali by some on this thread is purely from a tactical standpoint.

He is the best in short and long distributive passing play. He can be an asset to the team.

The talk of:

Why did a big club not notice him?
His club is going to get relegated.
He is not earning big money.
He is in a small club.
And banters

Are not tactical contributions and add nothing to the debate. The point is simple. A player to improve our ball distribution through passes. The best who can do that should be on our squad.

Finito.

Four areas where Osimhen needs to improve

1) offside awareness
2) a more consistent touch
3) holding up the ball
4) PK conversion

Touching with any part of the body would have resulted in a sweet goal baba go put leg 😲

If Osimhen miss that one now person go need use earpiece dey read messages here because of noise from some people.

You are comparing apples 🍎🍏 to oranges 🍊🍊

Haaland can miss like everybody else but 18 goals in 22 games SHUTS everybody totally UP. For Norway 29 games and 27 goals. He misses but he always scores.

that’s good. That implies that the coaches at Antwerp hv done a great job coaching out excessive and unnecessary dribbling out from him

If he can improve in his final balls and know the right time to release the ball he will be a top notch player in europe and for the super eagles

Saw him last when they played barca and porto in the ucl and i wasn’t impressed

Great dribbler with nice ball control but his final balls were abysmal in those games

Remember the best dribbler filled with astounding skill, technical ability and also Brazilian in the Eredivisie I am talking about Antony.

Ten Haag bought him for near €100 million Euros, what has been the result abysmal disgraceful failure. Even academy boys are rated higher than him.

What's the lesson, different leagues have different standards and quality. And being supposedly outstanding in a lower league may not lead to success in another one.

Remember Pepe comes to Arsenal and did ok but his £75 million price tag was not ever realised in the game.

It is my hope that someday soon, we will lay to rest this Nwakali argument. I used to think it was Iheanacho that was the most vilified player discussed on this thread but alas it is Nwakali. I wonder wetin the guy do us. When we were looking for a goalie and found Nwabali, the talk of top 5 leagues in the world wasn't loud. But each time this guy name shows up people just jump him like he stole for market.

Una say he dey play for Huesca e nor do he go Ponferradina una say na low division. He come dey Chavez now. Una dey say it's a poor team and relegation bound. Just last season, Everton was in relegation zone all the way to the last match day. Nobody called Everton names. We say let's make use of the boy's talent not because we wan market am. When will people get it?

You cannot compare the best league in the world with the Portuguese league and more so the bottom of relegation zone with very very poor quality and players in Chavez.

I say it again Enyimba will flog Chávez so also will quite a few premier league U18 teams.

I agreed with you with wildcard invitation which must be extended to players like Daga,Akinsanmiro and Eletu since they all have the skill set but are we saying no Nigerian does this apart from Nwakali cuz we need at least two to three players who can do this to bring real balance to the team.

The point is you people don't get it.

Nwakali is NOT SE standard.
He has NOTHING to offer.

And just so you know, I don't rate Iheanacho anymore as an SE Player.

This act of always seeking to go back to your familiar or comfortable ex is why we have guys who act like sissy and become weaklings.

Leave Nwakali alone and find a better alternative that will make us compete amongst the greats of this world.

One of the reason we lost to CIV is cuz of poor midfield. Look at the names on their midfield and add Nwakali to ours and see if they won't bully him like a sh!t of paper.

Abeg make una wake up bro.

I don't like mediocrity at all. It irritates me.
I love boldness and bold decisions.

I love risks. And Nwakali is not a risk, he's a comfort zone. We need to take a bold risk with a new-never-tried-before midfield beast.

We can find one, sooner or later.

Let Nwakali lay low and face his club.
SE is not for him anymore.

I'm not his God to decide, yes. I know. I'm not the coach ether, yes, I know. But I know one thing. We don't need a weakling, we need a fighter, an attacking beast of a midfielder like Osimhen — in that midfield.

Peace.
Hmmm, pls if someone wrote this on Stanley Nwabali before Afcon would you have agreed with him.

Sure, something is missing in that midfield and must be fixed.

Victor hasn't always been great with penalties, it's why he's almost always avoided taking it but for this season. Doesn't take away from the great player that he is. I however hope it's something he works on.

Victor was taking penalties before this season. His first super Eagles goal was a pen. He has been taking pens since charleroi if I'm not mistaken

he should leave that club asap in the summer

He needs to move to a club where he will be idolized and the clubs are Chelsea or Arsenal

Arsenal play a lot of interchanging movement very technical and unpredictable as a result Goals come from everyone.

VO is a quintessential top 🔝 level number 9, he is not a winger or anything else just a pure striker. He needs to be at the front end in a pyramid structure.

Don't think Arsenal is the best team for him.

That he takes them (which isn't in dispute ) doesn't necessarily mean he's great at them. Check most of the penalty he's taken, he almost always goes to the right (I knew he was going right yesterday). Even some of the ones he scored, they were close calls.

Take a look at this video, it explains what I mean.

Thank you…Victor is a fearless player but on penalty VO weak o but he needs to work on it as a striker to add to his goals.

don't you think the reason goals come from everyone is because they don't have a pure 9? The strikers are not good enough so the goal scoring burden falls on everyone else in the team. Nketiah has not shown to be good enough to lead and the less said about Jesus the better. He will fit right in.

From what I see victor can moonlight as a winger forward.
Also he is technically astute and intelligent.
Check his assist late last year.
Also, the last afcon showed how technically astute he is. He did not score much but check his all round play.
Against guinea Bissau he went back to midfield and gave a creative pass.
He will fit in anywhere. Watch him apart from goals and see how good his game is
