It will be like rohr time. When he does rubbish we will not need able to fire him. The contract will say we must pay forb6 months if we fire him.
He has no passion for us and looks down on us. He will not improve the midfield. Uzoho is his choice if nwabili gets injured.
I say it again He is average. Amunike or someone else will do a better job. We are too poor to bankrupt ourselves.
He is only there because some people want to collect part of his salary as per corruption levels.
It's like buying a second hand cR for the price of a new car.
He is a big waste of money

Am not really okay with this Amunike talk taking over, his CV is very poor, what makes him qualify for the job also makes Manu Garba, even Fanny Amun qualify...U17 glory..

Well I think we need anything from remo stars for our football. They are the ones who gave us ebenezer akinsanmiro.
Remo stars coach has a style called ijaball.
Any foreign coach has to learn this style. It's a style unique to us. We Africans can only win the world cup if we invent our own style not one arrogant white man who tells us we don't need a play maker. Here is what the coach said about his philosophy
YOU’RE FAMOUS FOR A STYLE OF PLAY KNOWN AS IJA BALL WHICH IS NOT WITHOUT ITS OWN HISTORY OR ORIGINS. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT IT IN THE CONTEXT OF YOUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY AND INSPIRATION?
“Ija Ball” is my thesis for coaching, and I term it as a consistently controlled possession-keeping style. We leverage our African context by emphasizing the strength and power of individuals or the collective to score goals. “Ija” is a Yoruba word that translates to “fight,” and one of the sports that inspires that fighting spirit is combat sports. I’ve brought that combative essence into football, ensuring my players maintain unwavering consistency in every moment of the game, be it in attack or defense. This consistency, I believe, is the key to NPFL success, and it’s the inspiration behind “Ija Ball.”

Spain won the world cup with tiki taka
Brazil of Pele dominated with their style.
The Germans were the German machine
Now with ijaball we will win the world cup.
Peseiro should learn ijaball from remo stars coach and not the other way round.
The only white man that understood us was westerhoof.
These white coaches don't appreciate us.

However, we are talking of being trained and exposed to modern coaching methods. You guys only think result. Also think of philosophy. Also, qualifications too. Amunike has a Masters in coaching.

The cry is about playing a particular brand of football. Not just coaching.

Must he only practice the modern coaching and his philosophy with super eagles? NFF should allow whoever who is interested to apply and pick on merit.

The call for Kelechi Nwakali by some on this thread is purely from a tactical standpoint.

He is the best in short and long distributive passing play. He can be an asset to the team.

The talk of:

Why did a big club not notice him?
His club is going to get relegated.
He is not earning big money.
He is in a small club.
And banters

Are not tactical contributions and add nothing to the debate. The point is simple. A player to improve our ball distribution through passes. The best who can do that should be on our squad.

Finito.

It's delusional sentiment garnished with emotive favouritism.

Four areas where Osimhen needs to improve

1) offside awareness
2) a more consistent touch
3) holding up the ball
4) PK conversion

How dare you criticise he who is a above any mistake.

Chelsea or PSG but I want him in EPL.

Chelsea is a team in transition still trying to find their way.

They will absolutely not change the way they play to accommodate him. There are many egos there he is not going to be the big fish 🐟 there.

And the transition to EPL will not be smooth, the only consolation is that even if doesn't live up to expectations Chelsea fans are use to spending big money 🤑 without any better return.

As a result he will not be crucified just criticised while he gets a big pay packet.

don't you think the reason goals come from everyone is because they don't have a pure 9? The strikers are not good enough so the goal scoring burden falls on everyone else in the team. Nketiah has not shown to be good enough to lead and the less said about Jesus the better. He will fit right in.

Actually it's the way modern football is evolving.

There was a time we use to have a quintessential playmaker in the No.10. Now the best teams have literally 3 numbers 10 interchanging

Let's look at the three top teams in the EPL for ease of explanation.

Goals 🥅 scored by Arsenal are the same as Manchester city and only two less than Liverpool.

Arsenal are scoring goals from all over the same goes for Liverpool. Manchester city have Haaland but Look who scored two yesterday Foden.

Manchester city play like they have 3/4 number 10's apart from Walker ( speed king) everybody is technically astute the game. The passing wizadry and movement plus first touch astounding.

Liverpool have a similar situation no outstanding quintessential number 9.

A funny story on SM saying Karim Adeyemi is considering switching to Nigeria given he might not make the Euro squad.

Some day he his ineligible as he has played in competitive matched for the German team.

Some say he is still eligible as he had played just 3 matched while others argued it's 4

Some say Nigeria doesn't even want him.

Super eagles eligible CB Nelson Abbey (20 years old) made his debut for Greek giants Olympiacos yesterday in their 3-0 win over Volos in a Greek league game

He started at CB , finished the game and was outstanding according to Olympiacos fans who hv been raving about it after the game

One to watch out for

Sometimes I wonder how fans and the nff reason with regards to certain decisions meant for the good of the national team

If I may ask what hv Amuneke done to merit the super eagles job? Is he getting the job based on his achievements as a coach in men’s football or out of sentiment, pity and favoritism?

I will rather risk giving the job to Finidi who hv worked with ex super eagles coach jpes n hv done decently well with Enyimba than handing the team over to Amuneke

That is devoid of the point. My point is that if our possessive-offensive play improves, the team will improve. I see applying the modern tactical approach to achieve this is the best route to go.

Finally, Amunike is the most qualified to pass this knowledge to our players.

So going for anyone interested is off this logic.

No tactical contribution in this.

We are talking about an individual player and a very poor one at that.

Playing in the worst team in the Portuguese league with a permanent base in the relegation zone. A player who could not get into Porto B team and claim position.

You are now trying to give top level class attributes.

If he was any good he would not have spent 8 years in Europe in complete mediocrity.

Just constructive criticism. I watched all of Osimhen’s games in his Scudetto winning season and these same issues have been here. The offside awareness is probably the biggest thing he needs to improve. I actually think going to PSG might help him as they have better coaches than Napoli and Enrique is good with getting more out of attacking players.

It's a good thing the NFF also seem to be leaning towards Amuneke. I read pre contract talks have been held with him so that is good news. I hope it materialises into an appointment.

Fact is TheGoodJoe is right. He is indeed the best among our local options from tactical and pedigree points of view.

No he ABSOLUTELY not.

That's a conceited view from a parochial mind.

My preference would be George Finidi, l know him as a person of integrity, experiential high level competency not the assumption of capacity by theory.

Welcome back Numero uno, Supremo Delusional.

It's obvious 🤔 you are still asleep or maybe something deeper coma.

Dude has been in the Segunda Division for four seasons of extreme mediocrity. How low can you go❓Heusca tried to offload him for €300k but nobody wanted him in the entire Segunda, I guess he was too good for the league.

The entire network of coaches, analysts, recruitment heads, scouts, etc after four seasons could not 🙈 him , l guess they were all blind because you seem to be the only one with eyes 👀👀 to see him .

Huesca were so desperate to get rid of him they even illegally terminated his contract prematurely. I guess he was too expensive 😞. So Ponferridina picked him up for nothing and made him the second to the last lowest paid player In the club , why ❓

He has left the relegation Ponferridina from one sinking dead ship 🚢 to another anchored ⚓ permanently in the Portuguese league one relegation zone , Chavez FC.

If you wanted to create a CV for abysmal MEDIOCRITY in football this would be it.

Tell me Dr 2 know one thing I have said here that is not TRUE. But then that is a waste of time your too far gone on the delusional highway to nowhere.
