Hi,
First of thanks. It is for my mum who will be traveling to the first time to Canada and I want a travel buddy for her
I need someone that will assist her in locating her gates since she has never travelled to Canada before.
If your cousin is willing, please let me know. Again, thank you.

OK. She doesn't need any company. Just go to Airfrance website and book a wheel chair for her, from lagos to her destination in Canada and pay. A mobility assistant will handle the rest. Someone has also suggested
this. She wouldn't have to go thru the rigours of queues as she'd be checked in faster. Hope this works.

Hello, my cousin is, but on the condition that:

You don't have excess luggage to carry
You don't have any suspicious (not necessarily contraband) item you're carrying

That you're the only one travelling.

The reason I asked those questions are simple. Someone was introduced to me sometime ago. She was going for her master's degree. She had relations in Canada but had never travelled before so I was asked to help out since we're traveling along same route. I accepted cos of her aunt's kindness to us at home.

We met at the airport. Come and see luggage like someone running away from home. She also had 2 kids, lots of orishirishi packed in luggage. I started becoming a courier assistant right from the airport, yanking off my suit to help out. We landed safely and I was still same person who assisted her in taking her luggage off the carousel one after the other. I wheeled them out for her to take a cab to her location.

If you're not in that lady's description, fine. I'd ask him and revert

I don't know if you've ever heard of this airport announcement that says, "Don't leave your bag unattended and don't accept anything from anyone.".

Also, I have heard, seen, or watched videos of travelers being arrested at airports for having prohibited items in their luggage. As a result of this, I will not assist anyone with his or her bag because I am not going to jail for anyone.

I hate this phrase "if I had known, I wouldn't do it.".

Good point. That's why I made my points clear to her. Even the one I risked, despite being a close relation was done with caution. I made sure she checked in all her luggage by herself. My help stopped behind the check in counter. I also assisted with the kids. On arrival at destination, she cleared her luggage by herself while I assisted with loading at the carousel point and moved it to the point where she took an uber.

Since then, I had vowed never to render such help again. Not even my relation would ask me to carry anything and they know me for that.

How long does it take for IRCC to acknowledge medical result sent to them via webform.
They requested for my medical and I already uploaded it since 10 days ago.
Should I be patient or take any action?

Hello house, good morning and happy Sunday to you all. I will traveling to Canada on visitors visa by May 2024 and I would like to know the likely questions to be ask at Port of entry. A lot of person are beginning to scare me saying one should delay asylum at the port because of the the questions at YYZ airport.

Another question is must everyone declare asylum at the port of entering?

All response will be appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

Forget other saying you shouldn’t declare asylum. Many form rich here a lot. Over sabi kill our people. So far more than 4 people I know too after long talk and over paying hotel bills they ended declaring asylum. Hotel bills is choking. Better to declare asylum from airport. You will be taken to lodge, while you wait for hearing. All these aren’t hard as people make it look.

I used a wheelchair service last year (April & August ) on delta when I had my baby and back to naija it was free. I added it on for someone who was going last month it was free. Just add it as an additional service after booking the ticket it’s completely free then you can tip the person who pushes you if you wish to.

Convincing an individual to not declare asylum is not forming rich. There’s nothing like forming rich here, anyone advising you not to seek asylum really likes you and doesn’t want you to see shege because if that false claim of an asylum falls apart you will actually see the Shege. The rate of asylum approval has drastically dropped. 2017,18,19 were the years asylum seekers were a tad bit lucky and since they clicked the false stories of our people they became smarter and started sending people back. The government of Canada is spending a shit ton of money on asylum seekers and it’s putting pressure on them in turn.

good evening brother it’s been more than 5 months since I applied I have even requested for my gcms note which landed last and the application is still processing but each time I try to use this ircc tracker it doesn’t go beyond the next step button, it will just reload and nothing more please how do I track it as I don’t have login details only my agent does, he also didn’t use my email to apply as i have not been getting mails

If you don't have access to the email address he used for your visa application then you can't create an ''application status tracker'' account. This is because a verification code will be sent to the email, and you need the code to create a password for the application status tracker.

Out of 6513 Nigerians that applied for asylum in Canada in year 2023, only 1086 were accepted. The approval rate last year for Nigerians was around 17%.

Anyway, I don’t think anyone is forcing him not to do whatever he plans to do. Who knows, he might be among the lucky ones.

I see. I bought a basic economy ticket for both of them and I learnt the seat type booked didn't have that service attached to it. Again, I got them 2 luggage each of 32kg ( that's 64kg in total for each of them) . But on getting to the airport, they dropped one each and said they're only entitled to one 32kg luggahe each, cos they are on basic economy. I had to drag this with them until it was almost time for boarding before their Manager now intervened.

The experience wasn't a palatable one and I hope my emirates could be allowed to fly again.

Ohhhhhh that may be the reason because it was basic economy, basic comes with so many restrictions so I don’t go near it. Yes with basic you’re only entitled to Seat(s) assigned after check-in, Non-changeable, cancel for a fee, Last to board, Ineligible for upgrades, No miles earned, Check 1st bag free and second will be paid, Ineligible for Delta Sky Club access.
It’s better to just add $120 and purchase main cabin ticket and have all the freedom.

Honestly delta is a really good airline I don’t even go near other airlines once it comes to going to North America. I think it was because you didn’t take cognizance of the price different between basic and main, if you had done main for them it’ll have even two bags and better seats with legroom. The price difference is usually fixed at about $120 but people don’t take note and you know this dollar to Naira wahala make everybody wants to save money it’s not our fault, if I save $50 sef it’s a lot of money.

Oh yeah. Being elderly, I didn't want them to encounter many stops and the difference btw basic and flexi was much during booking. That was why booked it.

That said, it was the cheapest that time despite costing millions lol. The manager only allowed me to pay for one extra luggage while they checked the remaining in.
I'm a tourist per excellence (that's the title I gave myself) even though my mission has always been business-based. I love enjoying every moment of my trips. If you love tourisms, try Emirates. I always enjoy their 19hr nonstop long haul flights to Los Angeles from DXB and other far destinations including Ca. They treat you like an egg.

I've flown their A380 double decked aircraft a couple of times which has the capacity to convey up to 700 passengers at a time. They check you in their 3 star hotel in dubai first before connecting the NA flight. This gives you the opportunity to enter dubai cos they'd give you a pass to enter and that pass is free...free UAE visa oo. You're driven in their bus across the city to their emirates hotel. Their dinner buffet is out of this world. But for people who don't like all that, a direct flight is better. I've flown BA, American Airlines, Turkish, Qatar, KLM, etc but have never seen such a pampering airline as the Emirates, my opinion based on the experience though.

Before you book a flight, make sure you read and understand everything about the flight you are about to book.

In the case of connecting flights, make sure you have the necessary visa that will allow you to fly through the country or countries of your connections.

My friend's wife wasn't allowed to check in at Lagos airport this past Sunday because she has more than one flight connection in European countries. This was her flight itinerary: (from Lagos (LOS) to Paris (CDG) to Amsterdam (AMS) - Montreal (YUL).

She has to reschedule her flight to a later date because she needs a transit visa. This rescheduling is not free.

Beware.

You back again Unfortunately, you have a case with IRCC and police may likely be invloved too. You can change your profile many times after ur last ban, but soon you will understand you're dealing with an advanced technology country. You're the person who arrived in Canada from Abuja with a sports visa via corrupt officials at the ministry in Nigeria. Then, you made a fake asylum case and created a WhatsApp group where you encouraged people to make fake asylum claims and advised on how to source fake documents. Your case will be a lesson for many people, reminding us to be aware of what we post online and the internet never forget !!
