Instead of that, split your wealth by half, use it to provide for your family relatives and friends and keep them close no body jokes with his source of livelihood.

@The Bolden I don’t want to believe you are not naive, people that work real hard for their money don’t use it for giveaway and people that haven’t developed the ability to make and retain wealth can hardly keep it no matter how much you give them.

In this your scenario it is the “family” & “friends” of this person that would kill him, in other to take the remaining after they have squandered the portion they were given. Once you give people a taste of wealth without the accompanying mental capacity for it, you create a bigger problem. Since they are taste, they are become everly more desperate to get back to that position after every phase of squandering.

it would be safer for you to walk around with spears to fend off attackers than going this route undecided

I hope this keeps happening until these insensitive people wake up. Loot all the govt stashes, loot anybody. Rise up, burn it all down if need be until they make changes.
Civil rights in the US, people died, people got injured, places Burned to the ground. But without that and much more, black Americans wouldn't have even the rights that are enjoyed today. Black Americans had to TAKE rights that should have been given. Nigerians need to stop bring so docile and accepting and do the same. RISE UP in mass!!! THEN they will hear you!!!

I wish Madam Minister or anyone up there would read your comment. Truly there is no justification for the act, but something needs to be done and done quick about the economic hardship.

Some people say stealing is revolution. We are watching and waiting to see whether they will say it is revolution if their own properties are stolen.

All this Obi supporters are masturbating on the current hardships in country because their messiah obi didn't win. Na dem ship drugs pass but it's to call the president a drug dealer na it them know. They wish the whole government should burn to ashes to placate their misplaced grievances. Even if Obi had won, there's nothing he would have done differently. That's how hausas saw Buhari as a messiah for over 10 years until he won and disappointed everyone. No politician can change Nigeria within 8 years.

I understand what you're trying to say but you have to consider a lot of factors involved too.
A woman that sells pure water will always want to make the most out of her business. She has dreams too, she wants nice things too just like the multi millionaire importer. So in the case where the goods she get at #300 before is now sold for #400 she 'll make adjustment too to meet up. She has needs and bills too. She 'll buy garri and she understands that whatever price she got it before won't be the same just like her pure water. Phcn has been increasing tarrifs for what reason exactly considering that there's been no improvement in power and somehow she still has to pay for it, Did you consider PHCN wicked too? The best that can be done to checkmate her is to get a competition that will sell same pure water for #30 to #40 a sachet then she knows she either bring her price down or go out of business. Her choice!

Importation of garri will provide competition for local producers and will always be less cheaper for obvious reasons. Look at rice for example. Imported rice is far better than our local rice but the price is almost the same cos of cost of production despite being of less quality and unhealthy. This is not the fault of the producers but the government.
I did foodstuffs business during my youth service in Katsina and I got to understand a lot of things about business in general. The government refusal to allow importation of food and at the same time failing to provide basic support and friendly environment for local production will make things hard for the citizens and that's what the government is doing.

You are right but the fact still remains that retailers are greedy. The example of a pure water seller is a good one. If the bag of water was increased from N300 say to N450, they will be justified in the new retail price.

I don't blame them, everybody wants to maximize profit. This is because we don't have price control in Nigeria. At the end we all suffer for it.

Didn't say so.

Let's be clear. Some nitwits are attempting to blame the victims for this. They don't know anything.

The blame for this sits in the citadels of power. It's nothing new.

I cited the French Revolution. Yes all sorts of people died in stages. But you see the fundamental cause? It was pure naked hunger. That's what I am saying. Caused by a rapacious elite.

And any government that instigates hunger deliberately is playing with fire.

There is only so far you can push even a mouse.

Some of you don't sound like you know just how rapaciously this country has been raped.

What happened prior the French Revolution is nothing compared to what we have now....where are the clear cut class difference in Nigeria.....the homeless man envies the one with a flat while that one is envying that with a house while that with a house is angry at that with a mansion and vice versa..... except you didn't experience end Sars firsthand.who suffered? Was it the politicians,or the upper class,it was those down under that suffered the most businesses owned by fellow struggling compatriots. To what end?

A revolution doesn't have to be violent, Niger will evolve with time,it took America and the rest of the developed world hundreds of years to get where they are..... Nigeria is being held back by both internal and externalforces and our problems very complex.

Warehouse Looting: Hungry People Can't Remove Doors, Windows - Minister

Very true. During one period of my life, I've starved. I had no energy. In reality, A Hungry Man Is A Lethargic Man not an angry one. I recon the saying, A Hungry Man Is An Angry man isn't literal but metaphor describing the pit- stomach hunger that drive some people inhabiting the lowest strater of society to seek uplifting change in all aspects of their lives.

Use paragraphing next time so that your piece is more readable.

Having said that, all the events you mentioned are symptoms of a dysfunctional society. They had it coming all along. Make governance and by extension the society work and all these social ills will go away.

In a system where everyone gets equal opportunities then your stand can hold but in a system where currently people are automatically relegated to hardship once they're born, hardworking people loose their jobs and can't find another, banks can't give loans for business and even the business environment is heavily saturated that if you start up a small scale enterprise if you don't get extra support you may loose your capital due to inflation.

Be sensitive to help when things start going hard for most people and better to start with those closer to you.
If you fail, the day of rampage they'll be the ones to knock down the door first then others will join to annihilate your property.

I am already exempted. It is all of you that support theft that won’t be exempted.

Besides like i always say anybody regardless of their hunger status that wants to rob me or mine, whatever they intend to steal should better be worth their life undecided

There is something wrong with this new generation, zero morals, lazy and shameless. Even the poorest in the days of your forefathers, who rather die that steal or commit a crime that would tarnish their father’s name.

Here you have them using their own hunger to justify stealing. Spits. Every man would satisfy himself with the work of his hand, anyone that doesn’t want to do that should go and abeg since they have no shame.

The worst part is the typical Nigerian is root cause of Nigeria’s problems. From the ones trading dollars like its a product to profit from, to the greedy market people that source their goods locally and still rise the prices of their items every six hours. You are doing yourself. As you lay your beds, you lie on it.

Again, attack me or mine cuz you are hungry; whatever you want to steal better be worth your life! undecided

If a looter feel entitled to my property and I feel justified to defend it, let the one with the biggest might take the property. No be me do you, they must be casualties (both me and them) no different from land/resource dispute between families and communities even countries.
