Before you book a flight, make sure you read and understand everything about the flight you are about to book.

In the case of connecting flights, make sure you have the necessary visa that will allow you to fly through the country or countries of your connections.

My friend's wife wasn't allowed to check in at Lagos airport this past Sunday because she has more than one flight connection in European countries. This was her flight itinerary: (from Lagos (LOS) to Paris (CDG) to Amsterdam (AMS) - Montreal (YUL).

She has to reschedule her flight to a later date because she needs a transit visa. This rescheduling is not free.

Please, when having a stop over to any European country, don't let your stop be more than 1. If you are having more than 1 stop in any European country, then you may require a transit visa, except if this rule has changed

For instance, if you are taking air France, sometimes, they have 2 stops...Paris and Schipol(Amsterdam). For you to be eligible to fly on this ticket, you must have a transit visa because it has more than 1 European country stop over.

Stick to the airlines listed for you earlier but ensure your stop in ANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ISN'T MORE THAN ONE.

Try to avoid Ethiopian airline because I've heard series of cases where passengers (especially Nigerians) trying to board en route to Canada from Adisababa had issues because they were on visist visa. My friends and families have used Air France, Qatar, KLM and Lufthansa airlines perfectly well on visit visa without issues.

Again, just stick to one "stop over" flight if you are using any European airline (KLM, Air France and Lufthansa)

If you are using Qatar, avoid putting any liquid in your hand luggage, even to toothpaste because they might trash it in Doha before boarding to any of your destination. Put whatever liquid you have (no matter how small like your smallest finger) in your bigger bags(23kg luggage). Don't bring it on board with you.

it people like You misled a man. He came to Canada last year based on your quack advice about this truck driver process to secure a job on a visitor visa, and he was stranded. That's why I advise people to be extra careful with all these online emergency visa and immigration advisors. Do your own research and don't fall victim to all this ill advice. He's currently homeless at a shelter in Toronto and not happy about it. OGA, have you heard of LMIA . Someone on visit with a skill in demand can get a job with that document. It's very legal. You can switch to student while on visit and still get work permit.
