This thing nigerian government is doing. I no understand again. If they put the rate at 5% they know it will be oversubscribed. What are they really doing with these rates |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Itsrm(m): 5:59pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
Dum20:Bold of you think they will have 1.5 trillion subs if the rate was 5%. This was from 2021.

Nakedman:Mutual funds is piss poor (MMF to be precise). They are offering between 12-13% when tbills is at 21%. Investors in money market mutual funds should start considering tbills option asap and lock in those sweet rates for 365days before rate drops. |

| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Odunharry(m): 9:56pm On Mar 06, 2024 |

| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by blkmum700: 10:03pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
Odunharry:Let’s say 5-10m for 91 days at 17% ,how much is the return going to be ? |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Odunharry(m): 10:15pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
blkmum700:Let us use simple interest to calculate. 5000000*17*91/100*365=211, 917. Then 10%wht factored on interest amount. Higher principal and tenure gives you higher rate. |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by chukzyfcbb: 10:17pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
blkmum700:5m = 212,000 approx 10m - 423,000 approx |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by blkmum700: 10:22pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
chukzyfcbb:Thanks , I think I will jump on the next auction. |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by blkmum700: 10:23pm On Mar 06, 2024 |

Was anyone successful at the week's auction, what bank and rate ? |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by farydah: 3:00am On Mar 07, 2024 |
kristien4:Mine was successful but I put in 5m for 364 days and I was credited 745k there abouts. However, my certificate came with the rates at 15.5% and the tenor 354 days or so. Am I missing something?? |
