What would you say about the case of Uriah [a faithful warrior] who David killed and the 'heavy' punishment God meted out to him (David) for that sin. Why did God allow David to execute all his plans before showing up? You cannot question God on His loving and just nature.

It's not an easy thing to accept and understand tragedies like this BUT as a believer, you rest in the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to console us. God knows the best and he knows the reasons He allows some things to happen.
