Anybody not supporting this policy irrespective what your reasons are, is corrupt, a thief and an enemy of the country. I'm not a tinubu support neither do I reside in the country but I think this is one step in the right direction for this government and I every right thinking Nigerian will applaud this move. Enough said.

if you go on leave of absence your salary will be stopped while your name remain on register....

Why people don't resign their appointments is that the fear of unknown. They may japa and things turn sour, if there expectations about abroad is not met, they can come back to continue their jobs. But about 75% of japanian don't come back.

Nigerians should start to do right thing if they want to progress. People must resign their appointments if they have INTENTION OF living the COUNTRY. Life's about risk and not about eating one's cake and still expecting.

Doesn't the leave of absence have a limit? If it's I definite I can see that is a problem. What is the difference between if someone took leave to seek greener pasture and someone who took leave to build house? How will one affect the payroll and the other wouldn't? How will one prevent others from getting employed and the other wouldn't? If there isn't a limit... then there should be one. As in .... 60 days max leave of absence. If the employee doesn't show up ... warning letter/email sent for termination if he doesn't resume work within 5 days. In this way what the person does within the leave period doesn't matter ... the focus is on their return to work. If he doesn't... he's terminated .... he's off the payroll and is replaced. Limit to leave of absence period is key.

I believe the civil service grants leave of upto 6 years in some cases. People leave to study undergraduate courses full time.

It's abused right now.

My only question is how would they know when someone has japad if the person doesn't announce it or resigns but only asks for a leave of absence?

Six years?... he must be returning to run for President! That's the problem right there.... the six year leave! I'm thinking if that person returns and resumes his duty he will be unable to apply his newly acquired knowledge in an outdated system.

Illiterate, the news is saying A, you're saying B.

They are all related. He is discouraging people from travelling but went begging for his friend based abroad to be appointed into Nigerian government.
